  1. Yes, Crawford is who I'm thinking of. I wouldn't necessarily say it didn't hurt us at QB. Hasn't our depth at QB been suspect for quite a while? Wouldn't it have been nice if we would have had a good back up or someone even better than Martinez or Armstrong?
  2. These situations are frustrating. I honestly hope Nebraska doesn't get commitments from these guys again unless we already have the position filled, have room in the class for a long shot like this...etc. This kid and the kid who committed to Solich only to go play baseball (can't remember his name) do nothing more than make the recruiting class look better than it really is and possibly leaves a gap in the position in recruiting. I wish this kid all the best in the world and love it that, if he were to play football, he would have come to Nebraska. But....just don't have a desire to be in these situations in the future. And...yes....he made the right decision for him.
  3. I you are a contractor and going to use it a lot, buying a Dewalt or Milwaukee is well worth it. for a home owner that uses it just every once in a while, those are still very good options, but, you could probably find something less expensive that would do the job. Our fabrication shop and maintenance almost always buy Dewalt.
  4. For Purdue, we could have only had 2-3 wins and beating us would be a quality win. OSU??? No. Purdue??? yes.
  5. Do we need an elite running game? LINK
  6. Wow....just had a moment where I thought I was in a Big Bang Theory episode.
  7. See Nebraska vs MSU or Nebraska vs UCLA from 2015.Again, those are examples of one game. I can see Riley and staff picking up a nice win somewhere, and then blowing it against a lesser team a week later. I just don't see the consistency that people expect NU to have. No, that's two games down the stretch where we saw the team come together. Fact is this, we saw what our staff/team can do when they are in sync. Who here REALLY TRULY expects us not to look much more improved on a simple consistency basis? The staff has a better understanding of their team, the team knows what the staff expects of them. Chemistry alone would have given us 3 more wins last year. I 100% expect it...If this team is not at 10 wins next year it is a failure in my mind and probably most of the NU fans minds... 1. Experienced staff: Check 2. Returning QB: Check 3. Experienced staff that can work with that QB and make him better: Check 4. Schedule where they will be favored in all but 1-2 games: Check This keeps getting thrown around, but is it true? Oregon, at Wisconsin, at Ohio State, at Iowa....all games id be surprised if we are not underdogs in. I think all but the OSU game are toss ups depending on how the season progresses. If we win against Oregon and Wisconsin maybe doesn't look like world beaters, I could see a situations where we are favored in that game. Same with the Iowa game. If we get to the Iowa game with one or two losses, I could see us as the favorite in that game. Since Oregon is so early, I would be somewhat surprised if we are the favorites in that one.
  8. OK....right now on my twitter feed there is a tweet from Sean Callahan claiming Angus McClure has come to an agreement with UCLA to stay there. When I click on it, Twitter says the tweet doesn't exist. So.....something is going on but not sure what.
  9. A season is ultimately judged by Wins and Losses and how you performed in the big games. Those 3 games I listed are the biggest of the season at this point where we need to walk away with wins or at the very least look like we belonged on the field. In response to your 5: 1- We will establish a run game, but understand it will not be our bread and butter. Passing is our main offensive weapon. 2- Hopefully the influx of talent we just brought in can fill any holes, consistency should be better. 3-Losing VV and Collins hurts. But we have Davis twins and Neal chomping at the bit. Raw talent, should contribute nicely. 4- This can only get better. I also expect Eric Lee to be a big contributor here. 5- He is a Senior. Time to go or get off the pot. He has guys behind him ready to take his job so he either gets better or gets replaced. Also, I personally think that if the BYU and Miami games would have gone different with the final plays of the game, our season would have been very different after that. Especially looking at the Oregon game, win that and the confidence on the team goes way up. That carries over into the Northwestern game and the start of conference play. If we win that, it's very conceivable we go into the Wisconsin game 7-0 and everyone is jacked about the season and how it may end. LOSE against Oregon and there can be doubt throughout the team and fan base as to if they can win big games the rest of the year. Yes....individual games can be keys to having a successful year.
  10. I know this is way early...but...hey, its the off season. It's been a very long time since I was at UNL so I'm not sure how this works now. I have a daughter starting there next year. When can they purchase student tickets and how much are they usually for the season? I looked on Huskers.com but couldn't get to any place that told me what I want to know. Thanks,
  11. I obviously have no clue what happened to the WMDs. He clearly had them at one time and was not shy about using them even on his own people. He and his two sons are disgusting human beings that I'm glad are not walking this earth anymore. Leading up to the war, Iraq basically knew we were coming in after the WMDs for months before we actually went in. I'm not sure why some people don't believe he could have easily disposed of or shipped them somewhere like Syria during that time. The management of the region since Saddam was taken out has been very questionable and still remains that way. Here is my tin foil belief of what was going on behind the scenes leading up to and during the Iraq war. Our government had restricted what our secret services could do to get information so much, that we were being required to rely on our "allies" for much of our intelligence. Some of those countries were France, Germany, Russia, Israel. All of those countries had motivation to have us knocked off our perch as a world leader or (in the case of Israel) have us go in and take out Saddam. Our administration was very zealous at the time about taking out anyone in the region who could pose a threat. The situation was ripe for convincing the US to go in and take them out. It is not out of the question (at least in my mind) that they fed us faulty information to get us to invade Iraq. France, Germany and Russia immediately gained credibility in the world once they started trash talking our efforts. Israel obviously got rid of a major enemy. Maybe I have been watching too many James Bond movies but, I still don't trust those 4 countries.
  12. Trump wil say what ever he thinks will get him votes at the moment. It doesn't matter if he's contradicting something he said less than a week ago.
  13. I always thought Bell was called for targeting because he "launched". Your video shows Bell's left foot clearly is on the ground when his shoulder hits the badger in the chest. What else is Bell supposed to do? I'm not saying Bell should have been flagged. But, I always thought he was flagged because running the way they were, he could have simply pushed the guy with his hands and he would have been out of the play. It's clear he went for the big hit even though technically he hit him with his shoulder and possibly didn't launch.
  14. Link on the bolded part? Let's say Hillary is in prison and it's down to Bernie and Trump. I think you are smoking some Repub reefer if you think it's a done deal that he wins that battle. Trump has his troops that will die for him no matter what. The problem for him is, either you love the guy or you hate the guy. 23% of the country is registered Republican. He isn't even getting 50% of THAT vote. So, let's say Iowa and New Hampshire are the average at 23% are Republicans (I would be shocked if NH is.) He won NH with 35% and he got 24% in Iowa. Let's say he gets 35% of the rest of the Republican primaries. He is getting roughly speaking 35% of 23% of the country. That's 8% of the country. Now, I know if he is in a general election, he is going to get more than just 8%. But, that is NOWHERE CLOSE to over 50% to be a clear winner against Bernie. I have almost always voted conservative or close to it. I absolutely will not be voting for Trump and I have talked to a lot of people who feel the same way. Your faith in Trump winning the general election is misplaced.
  15. I'm not sure anyone thought there would be.
  16. The original quote was actually made by Jane Elliot. I know. When a woman says that, and a man repeats it, is it the same as when a black guy uses the "N" word and then a white guy repeats it? If the white guy is using it in the form of a quote or recitation of something previously said, that'd be fine by most people. My black friends often give me a hard time because I ask them stupid questions like, "If I really like this rap song and I'm at a show and the lyrics have the n word am I not supposed to sing along?" and they tell me absolutely sing along, appreciate the art, respect the people, and enjoy it. There is no way in hell I would still ever use that word even if I had ten black guys standing around me telling me to. Nope....it won't be uttered from my mouth. I don't even care if I'm quoting someone else like the guy did at the Bernie rally with the word Uterus.
  17. Well, here is how it will get done if he is President. It's just like many of his major construction projects. He will hire a bunch of smaller contractors to do the work. He will then file bankruptcy on the project which screws the contractors out of what he owes them. He will then stand in front of this project with his big smile on his face talking about how great he is because he built it.
  18. Seriously???? Trump has absolutely less than .000000000000001% of the credibility and Brain function that this Pope has.
  19. I always thought this was the logo for our secondary.
  20. You are. And it AiN't. ;) yes it is.
  21. Another thing that sometimes doesn't get mentioned was Jordan's ability to command the court and get everyone on the same page. Think about the personalities on that team. Pippen could have gone off and been his own star on a team but he was willing to play second fiddle to Jordan. Then, you throw in someone like Dennis Rodman....Really? Jordan and Phil Jackson (not going to down play his part) were able to keep that team focused and playing at an amazing level.
  22. First preseason games in 2 weeks. LINK Good read on my Cubs. Really liking our starting pitching. Hope Hammel and Hendricks can pick it up from last year.
