  1. Wow...no. What I usually find in these threads is that people post music that they like listening to but don't think if it really is going to sound good over the sound system....that is even if we upgrade the sound system. This song would sound absolutely HORRIBLE. Because of the sound system or because you don't like the music? Half the songs that we play during a gameday sound horrible - I'm only posting music with the caveat that it will either a. sound bad because we know our sound system is atrocious or b. be in a perfect, idealistic world with a legitimate high-quality system inside Memorial. Probably some of both. Not that I wouldn't listen to the music when working out or something. But, put into a large atmosphere like this (even with an upgrade to the sound system), music like in this song just doesn't work. It's hard to describe but the music in the second post I made is more like what is needed. I guess the best way to describe it is that it needs to be crisp and clean music.

  3. Going to a friends house for a game party. So, lots and lots of munchies and I'm sure he will be cooking some pork loins. Maybe some ribs. I am thinking about having a party for the bowl game. This is giving me some ideas.
  4. I couldn't open the first article and read most of Carl's first article. I am sure there is a point where very rich people will leave a place for lower taxes. Is that at 40%, 50% 75%????? Who knows and that level is going to be different for everyone. AND, there will be a lot of them that stay right where their at because this is their country and where they grew up and where their family is. That said, I am more concerned about manufacturing that individual millionaires. If you are a multinational company, tax laws play a big part in where you locate manufacturing facilities. This goes along with any type of regulation. Bring manufacturing back to the US and tax revenue will go through the roof without hardly doing anything to tax rates. I still believe there should be a law on what percentage of a person's income the government can take in taxes. The rich need to pay their share of the taxes. HOWEVER, I believe there is a moral limit to what the government can take away from anyone no matter if that person makes $20,000 or $20,000,000.
  5. This is the recipe I used and it was very good. I paid very close attention to the temperature and took them off around 150-155. The inside was still a little pink. They were amazingly tender and good. LINK
  6. Sorry for the sin. This year's won't be. I couldn't get my family to like back strap steaks. I made the inner loins though with a recipe that all of them liked. So, I cut this year's back straps up into steaks and will cook them that way. I think before I was cooking them too well done. How do you prepare yours?
  7. Great game and it was fantastic to see Andre play so well. He has it in him to do that....Hopefully Miles is bringing it out.
  8. Yep we still watched every game. You must be in Iowa. I loved deer hunting in Iowa with my group. I forgot....i also have two roasts of corned venison for lunch meat.
  9. Two deer processed. 32 lbs burger 3 packages summer sausage 4 packages of steaks 2 batches jerky from left over backstrap from last year. Family won't starve over the winter.
  10. When was the last time we saw a fake punt or FG? The stronger our defense gets, the more likely we are to see it.
  11. I know this is going to sound strange after I started the thread. But, this entire award has turned into a joke. The description of the winner should be: The best QB or RB from a major football program on a team that has one loss or less. Is anyone trying to tell me that if Klein were surrounded by the talent that USC has, his team record wouldn't be better? Why is it that only an offensive player can be the "most oustanding player in football"? There are many players that have been passed up because they were on marginal teams. Why should that play into it? If Troy Davis from ISU were on a major power team in 1995 with a dominating O line, can you imagine what his numbers would have looked like? It was a joke that he only finished 5th in the rankings. FYI...I'm not saying Troy should have won it. But, the voting was a joke the entire way around that year.
  12. When I asked my questions I didn't realize this year's commitments were included. Makes sense now.
  13. K Bell is only 1229 yards away from breaking Johny Rodger's career receiving yards record. If he is here for his senior year, he should break that.
  14. ESPN seems to be pushing Te'o for Heisman. http://espn.go.com/ My question is, is he that much better than what Suh was in his senior year? After Suh didn't win it, I thought there was absolutely no way a defensive player would ever win it.
  15. The Pac 12 championship game appears to be on Friday at 8. The Oregon State game is on Saturday at 2:30. That would give them the needed 12 hours to get ready for the game.
  16. Center/QB exchanges are only one part of the job of the center and I agree that there weren't any issues with that last week. However, little things that fans usually can't see can always be an issue like calling blocking assignments and mobility to get to the edge like Jackson was able to do on pulling blocking assignments. I hope there are no issues here and our full offense is effective.
  17. For medical use, yes they are used, but if they are used to enhance your abilities in sports it's unfair and frankly stupid! Legalize it....bigger stronger faster athletes equals much more exciting sports....we already watch athletes using PEDs on a daily basis maybe so, but it also makes it more dangerous, hence we wind up with what we're going through now with the concussion boom. Athletes are bigger, faster and stronger, and frankly the human body is just not designed to put up with the collisions that are taking place. Steroids would make this issue much worse. We're already seeing the demise of the sport of contact football right before our eyes because of bigger, stronger, faster, yet, you want to accelerate it. Risk reward. Football will never go away. Too much money involved. Many people will gladly play for millions with the chance of concussion. Would you play pro football for a mil a year if it resulted in possible concussion? I would Ask Junior Seau if he would.
  18. http://www.athlonspo...ecap-and-awards Was Taylor the reason why Miller was able to run all over us and UCLA was able to put over 600 yards on us?
  19. I agree. We have to assume they are allot better this time around.
  20. I agree that stopping Ball is the key. I thought maybe they were getting a lot more balanced over the last 3 games but it doesn't appear so. However, the last three games (where Phillips has played) they have 52.6%. He only has 1 INT with 4 TDs though. Rushing is where they make their hay. Ball 93 rushes for 500 yards. That is an average of 166 yards on 31 carries per game. Stop ball and we stop their offense.
