  1. Eh. I mean we’ve seen first hand what happens when a more mobile QB is thrown into an anemic pro style offense. Sure Patterson is a dynamic talent, but the problems with Michigan’s offense run deeper than QB IMO.
  2. Yea and I agree with that which is why I said that when Fru made the same point.
  3. Imagine two semis going 30mph and colliding, then switch out one of those semis for a mid-size car. It’s more about physics than toughness.
  4. I’m not arguing against that. I’m arguing that it’s wrong to use such a broad stroke when calling this a double standard. It’s completely different people wearing the badge. Were it the same cop in the situation the only difference being the race of the suspect, then I’d 100% agree with you.
  5. Then why does he stress that the aggressor is white and why put it in a thread about racism if the intent of the post has nothing to with racism but instead excessive force by police? Were it framed in such a thread I don’t feel like we’d be having this argument.
  6. It’s different people. Just because the officers in your examples used lethal force where it was unnecessary doesn’t mean if the guy in the video was black the same cop would’ve treated him any differently. We should condemn the cops that are racially biased and use unwarranted force but from that video I think it’s exceptionally hard to find evidence of either of those things unless they just weren’t recorded, in which case you should provide further context if there is such. Presenting a cop being assualted by a white guy and insinuating ‘...well what if the guy was black or that the reason the cop doesn’t use lethal force is because the aggressor is white’ is a huge disservice to both the police and people affected by police brutality IMO.
  7. Coke is better mixer if I want the drink to taste good. Pepsi has a stronger taste though so I feel you can usually make stronger drinks without burning it. Vanilla Coke is the true gentleman’s drink.
  8. Prior to his offer in March, he told Daishon Neal he would be following him to Nebraska. Iowa showed more interest than us and that’s why they got him.
  9. Unless you’re sitting in front on him. That’s always been a personal dilemma for me at games. I like to stand and yell but at the same time if the people sitting behind me are older I can’t help but feel like a bit of a jerk with the constant standing and yelling.
  10. While I agree with you, we did say the same thing last year.
  11. That’s a rather black and white way too paint a much more complex picture. Take the 2014 B1G championship game. The narrative was that tOSU DOMINATED that game which ended up catapulting them into the playoffs and an eventual NC. Does a one score win do the same? Or take Bo’s last game against Wisconsin (or he’ll all of them except his only win). The narrative was how Nebraska got embarrassed on prime time TV and Gordon set the single game rushing record, albeit just for a week. Hell Melvin Gordon is still running untouched.
  12. We’re talking about a team under Meyer that’s lost 3 conference games in 6 years in probably the best division in all of college football . Our average score against his team has been 60-18. A one score loss this year would mean we more than likely have a competent coach and a team that can play with the big boys.
  13. You honestly can’t say there is no difference between being down 35 points at half in a home game vs being down 6 with your offense having a chance to win the game in the final minute, even if both end in a loss.
  14. The Michigan State 'clap' false starts a couple years ago.
  15. Brooks getting back to 100% will help the central defense immensely. Hopefully Carter-Vickers can continue to improve as that position is rather thin. Although we don't have a clear cut favorite at GK I think we a rather deep pool of younger guys either starting or getting plenty of appearances. Striker worries me.
  16. Underrated : Rhubarb Pie Overrated : Pecan Pie
  17. Pretty sure what was reported was he wanted to leave LA/CA but his mom wanted him close to home.
  18. I always wonder if a change in environment could've made a difference. Of course you have guys like LP, but you never hear about the other guys where it did make a difference.
  19. Kingdom Come: Deliverance. If you like medieval RPGs like Elder Scrolls or The Witcher, but are looking for a more real to life experience, then I'd highly recommend it.
  20. I don't find Tina Fey and Amy Pohler funny. Love Kristen Wiig though.
  21. To be fair the last 5 or so years of the franchise they changed the customization of the faces so in a way, they did all look like mannequins. You would often times have a 5'9 160lb RB that based purely off his facial features, looked like a 6'6 290lb offensive lineman.
