  1. NCAA Football was a broken game anyways. How many times did you throw to a receiver over the middle just for a LB with a 50 inch vertical to jump up and knock it down. The discontinuation of this game saves everybody money on a poorly made game.
  2. With AA returning, at least we know we can lean on him early in the year while the offense works out some kinks. Until we find a receiver to replace Q and the whole QB battle is decided,I expect that's what we'll do. We need to be able to pass successfully and efficiently when we want to, not when we need to. I only say this because the running game is less of a question mark than the passing game.
  3. Yes, they are the ones that took Bo and Co's advice and instruction on what they needed to do. Peat had every chance to put himself in a place to succeed here. He didn't do what he needed to. Agreed. I have heard the same things most have on this guy. If he wants to bash our coach and program and our "system' (still trying to figure out whatever the hell that means), then maybe I'll come back with we only wanted his lazy ass to get to his brother. Edit- No idea how to embed tweets and the twitter 'embed tweet' thing wasn't working, but this is what he said. I do not blame Nebraska, Bo Pelini, or anybody but myself for my lack of success. I just want to bring light to some important issues. Idk. Doesn't sound like this is about Nebraska or Bo. I think by 'system' he means more of the business side of college football, not Nebraska's system/scheme and how he fit in it.
  4. 1. Tanner Farmer 2. Monte Harrison 3. Demornay Pierson-El 4. Nick Gates 5. Trai Mosley 6. Peyton Newell
  5. So you're wondering what the class would look like if you take away several of the best players? Yeah, pretty sure most classes wouldn't be as good under those circumstances. It's also easy for guys like Tolbert, Irons, and Walton to be overlooked when they have two 5* talents in Noil and Willis getting all the attention.
  6. He's at 6'4 250 I was going off his hudl page that says 211. Sorry, probably should have checked the recruiting sites too. Either way, still impressive.
  7. Even for a smaller DE, he's got some pretty quick feet.
  8. So our coaches are suppose to make another visit to him, not him coming to us? Sorry, I don't follow scout and can't read the story. Just my understanding from the headlines. No worries, I can't either. After the surprise King commit and the only solid evidence we have towards the apparent QB that will be visiting is he's from Georgia I did some searching. This was the best I could find. I'm curious as to what all the secrecy is about lately.
  9. An offer has not been given yet. I don't think so either, but atleast one site seems to think so. Rivals (HOL) just states there is an official visit, but they aren't registering an offer either. Which is odd to me. Why waste an official visit if no offer had been sent out? FWIW. Article about Parks and Nebraska on Scout's Georgia HS front page http://hsgeorgia.scout.com/
  10. Huh. Just thought by now all the students would be Laurel students.
  11. ? #295 Maybe I'm a little out of the loop in northeast Nebraska but I'm pretty sure they closed down as a HS in 2010.
  12. FWIW, two 247 predictions came in for him today. Question here. I'm not really familiar with 247 so what is the difference between 247 rating and 247 composite rating?
  13. I think Cook is a legitimate threat for us when we face MSU. If we stop him we win. The game against Wisky will tell us who is playing for the CCG. We'll get early looks at how good both are when MSU plays Oregon and when Wisky plays LSU.
  14. I'm wondering what some of you more informed people see us sitting with current recruits still on the board, especially with the influx of recruits the coaches are going after recently. RB-Wilbon>Avery.Phillips I think we get Wilbon. If Stewart has real academic issues we'll try for them both. If Texass offers though, Avery is gone. QB-Parks We're his best offer, and the fact that he will be only the 4th scholly QB on campus and Darlington's medical history makes me think he commits. WR- Irons>Blair>Scott>Willis No idea. Hasn't been a lot of new information on them. Makes me wonder if we've cooled down on WRs to focus on D or if we're sure one of them is a lock. OL- Frison Gates can play anywhere on the line, and getting Frison would mean Stoltenberg or Freedom would probably move over to DE. Our recruitment of WDE means this is a real possibility. DT- Pittman Again no idea. Help? DE- Bronson>Tubman>Outing>Simmons I highly doubt we'll get Bronson or Tubman. Sounds like if we offer Outing or Simmons we land them. I really liked Simmons' film; haven't seen Outing's. LB- Minor We have a minor chance with him. Sounds like he has academic issues. Time will tell but I don't think he ends up here. This is just a compilation of what others have said. Hopefully, the more well informed posters can set me straight. I need some new film to drool to...
  15. So what is it then? What Bucky said summed it up pretty nicely. If he were the coach here, I would support him because he is the head coach of Nebraska. That wouldn't make me like him on a personal level though. So basically, I (personally) would like the success he would most likely bring but not him (personally). I felt the same way about Tressel when people said he should be the next coach. Edit- And me disliking him has nothing to do with tOSU. I disliked him when he was at Florida. But I want to know what makes you not like him. People say sleazy but the only thing I can recall that was remotely an NCAA violation, he kicked the player off the team (Cam Newton). Just asking what it is specifically. Well it's nothing I have any hard evidence for I can assure you that. But something about him makes him seem dishonest. The way he left Florida makes me believe something was going on behind closed doors. I don't believe he left for personal reasons just to return to coaching a couple years later where the pressure was the same if not greater at tOSU.

  17. If he won games he probably would be liked. But for me, and maybe others too, the reason I dislike him has nothing to do with where he coaches.
  18. worse than kentucky last year?? Oh God no... Don't even mention that, I am still bitter haha I didn't keep up with recruiting last year as heavily as I do this year, and seeing ASU on so many recruits that we are heavily invested in is really grinding my gears. So, since I don't know, did we lose a lot of recruits to Kentucky last year?
  19. For all the criticism Andrew Green got early in his career, I thought he had a good game along with a surprisingly good season.
  20. That's really too bad.Hope it's nothing serious and is able to get some pt come game time. Win or lose I'd much rather play a team at full strength. I hope both teams will be able to stay healthy going into the game,
  21. Wow, he throws a really nice ball. Out of curiosity do you think he has room to grow an inch or two and what class in Colorado does he play in. He has a great throwing motion and you can very clearly see the snap of his wrist when the ball leaves his hand. Good stuff. I wish him continued success in whatever he pursues.
  22. That's pretty impressive considering we played six games on the BTN, five 11 am starts, and the overall strength of our schedule. We only had two prime time games. Both were non-conference on the BTN. Those ratings do not include BTN games, we were only rated on our ABC/ESPN affiliate games. Ahh, sorry. Didn't read the writing in the article. Probably should have done so before posting. +1

  24. Not denying that steroids have been in college football. I am denying that what I saw on him was a result of steroids. Clarett was good enough to start for OSU as a true freshman. The film said he was the first RB in history to do so, so you'd have to think his athletic ability or commitment to football and the weight training that goes with it exceeded that of the average player. Lache Seastrunk who plays for Baylor is 5-10 215 and runs a 4.36 40. He's added 30 lbs. since HS and yet still can run a sub 4.4. What I'm trying to say is seeing a true freshman RB playing at 230 shouldn't be that hard to believe.
