  1. we lose andrew green, Ciante, and Baptiste after next year along with seisay. i think we could use his help at CB.
  2. correct. you got more facts and probably did more research than the guy who wrote the article.
  3. Auburn and great program shouldn't be in the same sentence......
  4. David will have a good career i think. and your right, he will never be forgotten here. the only wish i have was that he had 4 full years here instead of 2 short ones. but theose 2 short years were very memorable.
  5. What he has done too reestablish this program i think warrants such an honor.
  6. maybe mandel should just go ahead and admit he sucks at this whole reporting on college ball thing and move on too vegas where he can take his expertise and win the big money.
  7. I have talked too a couple refs i know from the community college i went too and the ones i talked too who saw the play considered the play called as accurate. their reasoning was that as he stretched the ball out too the goal line, that at that point the ball was in motion, and from the time he extended his hands too when it clearly came out was continuous. thus in their eyes when the ball crossed the Goaline it was in the process of being fumbled and thus no TD. Two of them said they could see how the play was called and upheld, especially since the kids hands were blurry on the screen, which they said either indicates his hands or the ball was moving, which again makes possession and the TD questionable. But they also said on a such a quick play like that one that their was no real easy call, and that the safest bet was too stick with the call on the field as it poses the least harm too both teams. Either way i think we will be talking about this for years too come. And also these refs i talked too are Juco refs so their perspective is just something too think about and not take too seriously. But i did find it interesting.
  8. If we don't make it 5 in a row i will be very disappointed.
  9. This. I don't think we leave if it was still the big 8 honestly. But beings it isn't i am happy we are here in the BIG. I know we are in a first rate conference where the universities work together and treat each other as equals no matter their successes on the field. This conference is much better than the bickering and rivalries that embittered, and ultimately destroyed the big XII.
  10. we know how to put them in there place. do you remember last trip Michigan made to the Capital One Bowl? Urban Meyer's only ever career bowl loss That was the year they had some sophomore named Tebow if i remember right. Question is whether its D rob or Gardner running your guys offense. Gardner has impressed me a ton.
  11. Capitol one Bowl Vs Georgia?!?! damn that would be an interesting game. I would like too see D Rob and and Big Blue get revenge on for earlier this season and help silence the SECSECSEC chants.
  12. a cruel joke would be too make that disabled seating................
  13. played and lettered at Goodland High school. love the game too death and study it all the time.
  14. i always thought he was a solid safety. never have had a real complaint against the guy. never seen him much on the TV when he is out there, which means he is doing his job more often than not.
  15. your right. it is on the staff. when it takes you as long as we do too communicate and get in position it tells me our opponents have learned how bo's D operates before the offensive snap. they know they can confuse us and rush us, thus the big plays. I don't think this is too major of a fix but it has persisted this late into the year is a cause for concern
  16. Clearly the guy who called in has't read the book what it means too be a husker. In that book the things Bod Devaney said and did would make Bo blush. What Bo does with his team on his sideline is his business, he gets angry but hasn't gotten out out of line yet. and i don't think that he will.
  17. I'm sorry says the man with the pony sigs. I like Mitchell, its nice little town with great people. got some family up there my self.
  18. this has honestly made my day. I had hoped we would get a deal with OU done and now it sounds like we have it. We'll we do pretty much it aint formal yet.
  19. You kids do realize that you have your own message boards where you can have your pissing matches right? Not every thread with Michigan or Ohio ties here on the HB has too devolve into these pissing matches. I know its a big rivalry. We all do. But i think i speak for many when we say that we just don't care. Honestly, I'd rather see Michigan and Ohio State fans argue than have to sit through another Oklahoma/Texas pissing contest. At least the Michigan and Ohio State fans have a shred of creativity. I'm not sure there is much difference. I like their contributions. just not this one all the time on the site i come too for Nebraska football perspective.

  21. I wouldn't say sleeping giant. but i would say one that is figuring out what it wants too be. Despite the wins i still think we are in the fabled 4-5 year slump so too speak. a lot of young player who didn't get the chance too play last year are now starters. growing pains thus are inevitable. But what we should take pride in is this. when Callahan hit his 4th year we know what the results were, the Solich kids had been carrying him on D, and now the youngsters were due too take over. problem was they were piss poorly coached, idk whose fault that was, but the mistake was made. The fires of 07 forged the dominant Defenses of 2009 2010, those kids had seen adversity and knew how too deal with it. but how would Bo's recruiting classes deal with the same adversity? The flopped hard at times in 2011 and have had 2 bad games this year. they are making mistakes, stepping on their own toes. these are trademarks of a young team lacking in experience. The adversities (UCLA, TOSU) of this year i think will pay dividends down the road. these kids now know how too dig them selves out of a hole with confidence. and with Confidence comes consistency, and so on and so forth. The future looks bright, but i just hope we learn our lessons and move forward trying too get better.
  22. kinda like those TOSU folks? lol i made a funny
  23. Great points. Martinez is a option QB straight out of the nineties with solid passing. but beck wants him too pass way too often. Martinez is easily the best running QB we have had here since Crouch. and Beck doesn't use these skills till his sh#t game plan digs the team in a deep hole and needs bailed out. I like beck, but adjustments need too be made despite being the number 1 O in the league.
  24. you and me both. If this keeps up i'm gunna need too start watching games in the ER
