  1. He is 240 now. I don't think he will gain 20 pounds and I don't think we would want him to. 240-245 is probably a good weight. Keep in mind he has already been in college for 2 years, so it's not like he is a HS kid coming into a real weight training program for the first time.
  2. I agree with you, but in most cases package deals are one stud and another guy who is not as highly regarded. In this case, they are both legit 4 star guys and they are best friends. And Yoshi Hardrick and Lavonte was a pretty good "package deal" situation that worked for us. We may not be on the top of the list for Toby, but we have always been quite high on his list and he has visited campus twice and enjoyed himself greatly both times. Not saying it is likely we get both, but IF they did end up at the same school, we would probably be the most likely school in which that happens
  3. Bradley and Toby Johnson, took recruiting trips to Nebraska and Missouri. From what we heard, Toby Johnson liked Nebraska but was lukewarm on Missouri and Tennessee was out of consideration for Johnson. Bradley did not care for Nebraska and was about to commit to and sign with Mizzou but was told by his JUCO coach to wait a few days to let everything sink in after his trip to Columbia. Now out of the blue we are hearing that Bradley gushing about his love for Nebraska and is likely a packaged deal to go there with Toby Johnson. We will soon see. http://www.tigerboar...essage=10319489 That sight makes my eyes bleed. I hope we could get them both, obviously. But the fact that they do not mention Georgia at all, who is Toby Johnson's far and away leader makes me question it a little. But who knows...?
  4. You may see at the bottom of that article, that Sandland is the 2nd rated JUCO TE. Vandenburg is the #1 rated according to ESPN http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/8743658/espn-junior-college-100
  5. we've got room. anyone know how many we can take? has to be close to 30. 25-27. I highly doubt we got over 27
  6. We are competed with Vanderbilt, UCOO and Tennessee for him. Miami also, but I'm assuming with Sandland they will cool on him. it's doubtful we hear anything from him for a while as he doesn't visit until 1/11 and has other visits until 1/25.
  7. Is Vandenburg an early enrollee or will he not be here until summer?
  8. He has to be taking this into consideration and that's why we're still in it with him. Yes, but LSU can say the exact same..... Yes, LSU has had to top 6 picks with Mo Claibourne and Patrick Peterson. We have a track record, but LSU's is comparable and probably more impressive than ours
  9. I'm not going to defend oversigning, but things to consider...there is attrition and they have a number of people that will go to the NFL after their junior year, not just graduating seniors. They took 19 last year as you stated, they could easily add 5 players to last year's list. Plus, I don't know where this 25 number is coming from. I'm not going to look it up, but there are probably 40 teams that sign over 25 kids per year. Including NU this year. We will take up to 27 or 28 commits this year, are we oversigning??? I'm not a Georgia or Richt fan, but he has long been against oversigning and been very outspoken against it.
  10. Big Red Report/scout.com is reporting we are amongst the favorites, if not the clear cut favorite. Any info on this as I am not a premium member. I just find this weird since the rivals teaser above that says we were eliminated.
  11. Ouch, that's severely going to hamper Mark Richt's oversigning this year. Mark Richt for the last 10 years has been outspoken AGAINST oversigning and has been vocal against coaches in the SEC doing it.
  12. Yes, although it doesn't matter for us, he is going to UGA all the way. But he still does have academic concerns
  13. I see he's listed as committed but i think that should not have been done. Hopefully someone changes that. Dont think hes announcing until tuesday. Good chance he will be in but not official yet to my knowledge. any update after today? I thought he was supposed to announce today? tommorrow was the word i got...... Yes, the plan has always been Tuesday
  14. Delva? Did we miss something????? I just haven't heard his name in seemingly several months. that is all. Do we still have a chance with him?
  15. Down to Washington and Ole Miss... RT @JTalty: NE Miss. DL Lavon Hooks is down to Ole Miss and Washington. He will make his decision tonight.
  16. If this gentlemen's agreement existed, we wouldn't have gotten Samuelson in the first place. He was committed to Pitt. We wouldn't have gotten DJ Singleton either. Off the top of my head, I can't come up with more, but I'm sure there are more examples this year and in past years where we get a committed after they have already committed to another school. he's talking about within the B1G. and to answer his question - Urban Meyer happened. DJ singleton was committed to Wisconsin. I get what you're saying and the initial premise, but I personally believe all kids are fair game until they sign their LOI. that's just my opinion, tho. DJ basically decomitted from Wisconsin after Bielema left. So he was free game. From my understanding he was still committed to Wis but said he would be looking around. Either way it doesn't matter, I'm fine with anyone recruiting anyone else's players. Casey Sayles is committed to Ohio, if we miss out on Sandland, Vandenburg, are you saying it's not fair to recruit and offer him since he is already committed? I get the whole Big Ten thing, but I don't think conference matters. It's either you believe in recruiting other committed players or you don't.

  19. We have gladney. Assumed we have walker. What does this mean for Tre'vell Dixon and how does this kid compare to Dixon?
  20. I think Stanton is solid here and even with our large class, it's really doubtful we take two QB's.
  21. Yes, it wasn't his grades that were an issue, just didn't make the SAT score needed. He went to JUCO and has qualified, will be here almost certainly!
  22. I only watched the first half of his film and it is impressive how he finishes tackles in the backfield. But what happens when he is actually blocked in college? The first half of the film doesn't show him being blocked one time, he is just running past the o-line and making a tackle. This won't happen in college, so it may be a shock to him when he actually has to get around someone.
  23. His quote to the newspaper in Kentucky when asked if any of the committed recruited would follow him to UK and he said "only time will tell, brother." So it appears although your premise appears correct, he probably will try everything he can to get them to flip
  24. What happens when max pirman and trevor roach break the starting line-up because they know the playbook better? And then despite his perfect score, Sean Fisher decides to forgo med school and comes back and he starts at MLB. Then hopefully to build leadership and intelligence even further, we can find a safety from the Omaha area (preferably Millard North) that runs a 4.9 40! That is more likely to happen then your scenario of us actually playing our fast, athletic 4 star talent! aren't you a big ole ray of sunshine? I'm actually a pretty big Bo fan, but if that scenario took place, would it surprise you all that much?
