well said so many people on here think its a quick fix and dont seem to understand it affects a lot more than one position on the field you would need that huge elite nose tackle along with defensive ends and linebackers that also fit the new system i could see Bo bringing it in on passing downs to try and get pressure with guys like gregory and brown but its not gonna be the base defense

maybe Nebraska should make a flashy hire every 4 years not saying a new head coach but maybe some new offensive line/ recruiting guru guy

One class as far as I know. thanks for the info seems like it wouldnt be that hard to take an extra class next semester...not sure how athletic scholarships work but if its only one class thats giving him trouble it seems like he could still commit and sign an LOI and take a class sometime before he enrolls at UNL

how many classes are keeping this guy from committing? couldnt he just take a couple of classes next semester and get everything in order?

a lot of recruits visit and never commit thats kind of the point of taking your visits to see where you want to go He is just saying man up, and act like a man. Not answering the phone is the chickens way out of things. If you have to have your daddy tell you where you can play then you're not a man. So, i dont see him manning up since im not so sure hes a man. i see what you guys are saying just not sure why people get upset or suprised by this anymore it happens all the time, its not like a lot of these recruits grow up diehard fans like us they are gonna change their mind every ten seconds when there's a bunch of schools promising you the world

its seems like every kid does this know though until its the day after signing day there's a chance of this happening

Did/do we really? Us possibly moving to a 3-4 defense could be a bigger reason he left. This rumor of the 3-4 comes even closer to being true, because that is why JUCO Gregory Davis committed with us. We have enough DTs/DEs for a 3-4. Almost too much actually. Valentine, Randle, Rome, Ankrah, Curry, McMullen, Moss and Williams. Did we really need Peat? Someone who didn't even give anyone any hope during practice that he would be good? All we have is his high school tapes, because he has been a sitting duck since then. Its not his fault, and I wish him the best and hope he has at least one year of his collegiate career to play. He was just a sitting duck on a scholarship that someone else could have. I said a couple months back that Peat Jr was possibly leaving the team. I like your optimism but i think it maybe a little more difficult than that, i'm not sure if any of those guys have ever played in a 3-4 defense, plus besides gregory i dont know who would play OLB and please dont say Brown the dude is 210 pounds he'd need to beef up Michael Rose? maybe, i dont think the team will shift to a 3-4 as its base defense maybe just a special package to get speed on the field with guys like gregory
