  1. This makes me mad they don't call both ways. It really just doesn't make any sense to me. Everything happens very quickly on the field and most of the time you don't even realize what you do, all you care about is tackling the offense. However, there are some defenders that intentionally target the offense and should be penalized for that. Intentionally targeting is very obvious compared to a defender trying to legally tacking some one.
  2. Wouldn't he be behind Turner and Westerkamp? Moore has been playing the outside position mostly not slot, I thought. I think your right, Moore plays outside. Either way we are going to keep having play makers at the WR position.
  3. I have a feeling he will have an immediate impact for us, whether it's on offense or as a returner.
  4. This rule sucks. I know player safety is very important but it is ruining football. He should not have been ejected for this hit. A player should only be ejected if it is obvious the player is trying to hurt the offensive player. and in SJB's case that's not true. The defensive player is going to end up getting hurt trying to tackle the offense in an awkward way.
  5. he always makes the first guy miss and is never takes a full hit. He is a perfect running back for what we do on offense. And no I dont think he will leave early. He seems like a very smart kid and would want to finish his degree first.
  6. I say Fred Jackson, he has been a consistent 10 points all year even when C.J. Spiller has been healthy. Reggie Bush either goes off or doesn't hardly score and points. They're both playing good defenses at stopping the run.
  7. Since your in a PPR league I would definitely go with Ellington since he is consistently catching passed out of the backfield
  8. I robbed a gas station and when I got out another player shot me grabbed the money and drove away....
  9. I picked up Terrance Williams before this week, what a great choice. he had like 140 yards receiving and 1 td. If available I would grab him in your league because Miles Austin is out. I know Romo has Dez Bryant and Witten but I think he will start to average a lot of targets.
  10. I learned that if a fair catch is called on punts you can clip the other team and not get flagged for it. Doesn't make much sense to me!
  11. I watched a replay of the game and was very impressed how the offense ran with Armstrong. As an offense we have so many less plays that go negative than we had in the past. Dont want to make this into another TA vs. TM thread but I am impressed with TA. I thought our defense started to play with an edge and we blitzed a lot more and got more pressure on the QB. I also noticed Mike Rose would always go for the ball when going for the tackle. He is a play maker and a great tackler, he needs to see the field more.
  12. Not sure why Ameer Abdullah ins't getting more love. He had 20 rushes for 225 yards for 2 touchdowns. I don't think many people outside of Nebraska and some big ten teams know how talented he really is. He may only be 5'9" 190 or so but he plays a lot bigger. He already had 690 yards and 5 touchdowns on the year. I hope he can stay healthy and comes back next year (knock on wood) because our offense next year will be scary dangerous. I gotta get some Kool-aid flowing on here because if our defense can play like they started to show against illinois we will be tough to contend with.
  13. I see your point about our running backs being talented but with TA defenses have to guess if he will pass or run, with Kellog in obviously he's gonna pass so the defense focus' more on passing. IMO TA is our best quarterback to run this offense. When TA is in a feel confident we will score on that drive but when Kellog came in during the 2nd quarter the offense seemed flat. I know it's hard to come in off the sideline after standing there for a quarter or so but our offense gets in a rhythm that I don't think the defense can stop.
  14. I think TA was in there when Cross had that safety. Honestly though, after that safety, I was glad to see we didn't go into meltdown mode. Usually after something like that happens, the team quits. Something was different about the entire attitude and effort throughout the whole team yesterday. I liked it. I was thinking oh no here we go again Illinois is gonna score and the game will snowball from there. I agree I was very impressed with the attitude of the team. We were focused on winning but loved how it seemed like we were having fun. On the kick off unit our players were dancing around and noticed Ankrah would dance around before getting into his stance. I think our players are starting to play with swagger and having fun which will only make our team better. Mentioned the bold as well. First time I have ever seen this. Also liked Martinez talking to TA prior to KO and some of the hand slapping going on between the guys (camaraderie) I think at first they were dancing and jumping because it was cold but I thought it caught on towards the end of the game and they were doing it for fun. Ill be interested to see if they do this next week. I think if our team plays more loose we will play better as a team, as a team we have too much pressure to win and makes us play tentatively. This game was definitely a team win.

  16. Sounds like you get very unlucky against other teams, playing them when their team goes off. This is usually how my luck is. it sucks lol
  17. It should be very obvious if a celebration warrants a penalty but this one was not. Bell made one of the best catches of his career and one of the better ones I have seen and he was obviously excited so he celebrated and got a flag for it. The refs and rules change are taking all the fun out of football. I am all for player safety but its honestly getting a little ridiculous now.
  18. Looking back at our drives from yesterday I think every time TA was in the game we scored except for when we went for it on 4th and goal. Pretty impressive to me.
  19. How long as Taylor been out? 3-4 weeks so far? He should be out next week against Purdue then we have a bye. Turf toe needs rest, but the problem is I don't think a lot of people are thinking about is Taylor being out of shape. I would say after 6 or so weeks of not conditioning a player would be slower, yes Taylor could possible the fastest straight line player in the NCAA. We know what we have out of Taylor as a QB and he has reached his ceiling IMO. Now with TA in the game I don't cringe every time he runs and throws like I do with Taylor. Yes TA had high throws yesterday but I don't remember him having high throws against SDSU. I think the high throws were because of the wind and nerves, him playing a decent team. How many punts have we had when TA is in the game? How many did we have in the WYO or Southern Miss game? TA IMO is the best option for our offense. He can take our offense down the field every drive and score. With TA in the game there aren't very many negative plays which is huge for our offense. The past couple years I remember way too many plays when we had 2nd and 20 or so. I obviously want to see TA against better opponents but I think he gives us the best chance to win games this year.
  20. Our offense certainly looked great and even left a couple scores on the field too.
  21. not sure who actually calls the plays but I think JP was calling the plays early in the game and sometime early in the 2nd quarter after that I think Bo started to call the plays and seemed like our defense was bringing a lot more pressure with blitzes. I think bringing pressure and blitzes will help our defense.
