Wow I missed a lot for the 5 hours I was gone.. She probably does have a track offer here as she's one of the best sprinters in California after her freshmen year. Obviously though UCLA and USC have better programs and she would only be with him for year so it shouldn't affect his decision.. On the news that the family is split is crazy but fun news. Mom and GF = UCLA Dad= USC and Darnay= Nebraska or Ohio State.. I think dad thinks USC will get him to the pros the fastest with the same kind of role Adoree played for them the past couple years. GF has been all about UCLA and took a visit with him there. Thinking Darnay likes OSU with the way they send players to the league. I didn't believe that Nebraska had a shot until yesterday. He loves Donte Williams. He has 3 Calabasas teammates here. Playing time on both of sides of the ball would be easy. Johnson Sr has sold Darnay that Riley knows how to utilize him on offense and special teams. Easy for his parents to come to games with Gebbia and Johnson SR flying back and forth and most likely buying a house or two. Let's face it Darnay commits to NU and he's the biggest thing in Lincoln since.... Dude would be the face of this team for 3 years. He'd be the Jabrill Peppers/Adoree Jackson/ Charles Woodson of Nebraska.. Do I think he commits to NU? No. But if he does he puts this program at a different level. Is there a name for the striations of emotions possible Saturday? Just using the 3 listed: they land all three, HCMR's statue begins casting Sunday. They land 2, it's a marked improvement over the last regime. Land 1, it's what everyone expects and the status quo remains. If they can't get any of these players, the heat is on after being told how great of recruiters we have. Saturday is huge for the program.

It's actually a rare opportunity to upgrade the offense in one move. Bring Kelly in for a year as an associate head coach, director of offensive, whatever. The Eagles and 49ers are still paying him. He'd be a value and bring some sound ideas and life to the program. He and Riley are friends. Do it!!!

Of course we aren't. People make as if you had no idea who was running out of the tunnel to play until the start of the game. Depth has been an issue all year and was a glaring issue yesterday and ever since Ohio State. This isn't news. The Huskers just hired one of the best recruiters in America. They are aware of their needs. Let's talk about how Fyfe, a player who probably wouldn't see the field at Appalachian State, looked serviceable, a feat in its own right. They lose key players next season, but will be deeper at QB then they have been in years. They are in position to get a 5 star recruit and some high 4s. They aren't Ohio State, Florida State, or Michigan... Most teams aren't. They are making an effort to improve every day. And they will Go Big Red

Always amazing when a player achieves academic intelligibility. With the resources they are given, it's almost more effort to fail than barely pass.

It's also on Showtime On Demand and online One of my favorite parts was a small interview with TO about the game vs Michigan State and Saban. Midfield, post game, TO tells Saban "You are a better team than you think, we have really good players". Kinda passive aggressive, backhanded compliment. It was glorious and pretty much sums up what it takes to win even today and the cut and dry nature of college football that Dr. Tom understood so well

Considering the staff's current use of freshmen linemen, I would say 0% and 100%. He's looking to start right away. If he signs, it's likely he'll start from day 1.

It's not necessarily that they have a better likelihood of leaving us there, but a lower likelihood of leaving us before/after they do. Scott Frost becomes the next Nebraska coach, he'll probably stay the coach until he's fired or he retires. Jim Harbaugh/Les Miles/Gary Patterson/David Shaw/Chris Petersen/PJ Fleck/Tom Herman/whoever becomes the next Nebraska coach, they're gone as soon as they have some great success and get offered a bigger paycheck from an easier school to succeed at. But how do you figure that? There is nothing to lead one to believe Frost would even be any good and you should want him.

Isn't the offensive line supposed to be pretty good next season? Farniok and Raridon...If they somehow land Foster Sarell, they should have one of the best OLs in the nation.

What's the chances of Gebbia redshirting? Totally small potatoes, but who's the likely 3rd string QB?

The offensive line is being held together by duct tape and spit, there is no way TA was functionally healthy yesterday (in typical TA fashion, he likely left everything he had on the field this year), the loss of Sam Foltz, and the lack of depth at every position script except wideout.... All things considered, it's really not as doom and gloom as it looks. It sucks losing to Iowa. It sucks getting annihilated by Ohio State, it sucks losing the Big Ten West to Wisconsin. I'm proud of this team, the direction of the program. Tanner Lee, come in and do your thing, if not, POB time. When was the last time they had two capable QBs? Tommy and TA? I truly believe they will get one of these 5 star guys and a few more 4 stars. They don't have Urban or Harbaugh and depending on how you view Fitzgerald, they have the 4th or 5th best coach in the conference. It would be of great benefit to the program if MR made some assistant changes this off-season, but even if he doesn't, they will be better next year. They aren't or weren't going to hire PJ Fleck, Matt Rhule, or some other rising star coach. I'm proud of this squad and looking forward to big things. GBR!!!
