If A&M is currently the best football school in Texas, 3rd best is damn good. Many towns in the deep south are hot, humid, mosquito filled armpits. I didn't mention "bad teams" the past decade. Conference yes. We haven't been at the forefront of facilities in a while....otherwise we wouldn't be building to try to catch back up. Purdue has great facilities and they are part of the B1G tv money too. Baylor is a good job in excellent recruiting territory. Best fan base in the country with university leadership that has spent half the past 20 years infighting with football.

The bad news is a lot of schools can spend whatever they want. Brinks trucks are on many many campuses now. Lincoln Rikey. Bank. Mel Tucker. Bank. Every B1G and SEC school. Bank. .....with no guarantee of success. Just the guarantee of a buyout if things don't go well enough
