  1. NOOOOOO! GOD NOOO! WE MUST BREAK THE TIME LOOP!!!! We cannot go Lee----> Martinez ---> Armstrong -----> Lee-----> Martinez ----> Armstrong. Please, make it stop..... I also can't bear to go another full season with the announcers using the wrong first name when discussing our QB. If Adrian had a Nickle for every time he was called Taylor, he could probably buy his own NFL team.
  2. OMG- And Oregon's Football program just died if true.
  3. Probably should recruit his Oline/ Recievers.
  4. Yup, and a rushing TD gets you 12 points to a pass TD 6. - Man, Frost's entire scheme is screwed up he only wants 6 points for a passing TD.
  5. You just can't do this! It is never the players fault. Only the great Saban can ever even hint at this idea. Just ask anyone in the Frost threads.
  6. In the evolving world of QB recruiting, transfers are the priority and high-schoolers get squeezed In the evolving world of QB recruiting, transfers are the priority and high-schoolers get squeezed Some of us have been trying to explain this all year... and still we have folks that just can't seem to understand how "Frostuzco somehow in 4 years hasn't developed a backup QB." Every backup we've developed has done the same thing as all the QB's we are currently after. - Transfer for the chance to be the starter. This is the era we are in, and it's not rocket science.
  7. Only at Nebraska do we run off our own 4 year starting QB- one of the best in the portal, only to immediately start a campaign to bench and criticize any potential replacement. According to what I read: - Martinez sucks, but he outplayed Heisman hopeful Rattler - Rattler has all the talent in the world, but also sucks because Martinez outplayed him and rumors he didn't like being benched - Brennan sucks because he couldn't even start at LSU and he's a one and done, why invest the resources to have him only one year - The Akron kid sucks because he played at Akron and we play in the BIG - Smothers sucks because when he played against Iowa he looked just like and had the same outcome as Martinez - I've come to the conclusion that the only thing to make some of you happy would be for Frost to develop a new, cutting edge offense that eliminates the QB completely. - And then to fully satisfy some of you, Frost would then need to be fired anyway. FREAKING Ridiculous.
  8. I think if its Brennan, we have a fighters chance of keeping Smothers in the fold as well. Brennan is a one and done by my understanding.
  9. Good god, that's reason enough for him to commit, would totally be worth the scholly- even if he never plays HAHA.
  10. From Wikipedia Mark John Whipple (born April 1, 1957) is an American football coach who is the current offensive coordinator of the University of Nebraska. Previously he served as offensive coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh until 2021. Whipple was the head football coach at University of New Haven from 1988 to 1993, Brown University from 1994 to 1997, and stints as the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), from 1998 to 2003 and 2014 to 2018. His 1998 UMass team won the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. He was the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) in 2011 and 2012. Before joining the Browns in January 2011, Whipple worked for two seasons as the offensive coordinator at the University of Miami. He previously coached in the NFL, working as a quarterback coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2004 to 2006 and as an offensive assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 and 2008. On January 14, 2014, Whipple returned to UMass as head coach.[1]
  11. As I said, it was a hit piece, released specifically to damage Frost and overshadow the good news of the Joseph hire. That is why it was released on a Friday afternoon to fester for a whole weekend.
  12. Again- I do not disagree at all, whatsoever. But there is what should be, and what is. What is, is that the democrats consistently play with self-imposed rules that the other side laughs at. It's no different than the Big10 playing 10 league games while the SEC laughs its way to the playoff. Its why the left side has no answer for Faux News, its why McConnell got Trump and the Rich everything they wanted, while Obama and Biden's agendas went nowhere. They are ruthless and win at all costs. Democrats are soft, idealistic, and believe in fair play. Newsflash- fair play doesn't exist on the other side of the isle anymore. In a perfect world no one like the Cuomo's would be in power, and certainly no one like Trump would be wealthy or rewarded for a lifetime of crookedness with power. This is not a perfect world. Democrats need to realize that, or they will watch the country crumble into fascism while drowning on their principles.
  13. While I don't disagree with you on principle. It does not change the fact that it damages and weakens the entire party and its platform. Bill O'Riley is an achor, Tucker Carlson is an Ancher, Kieth Olberman is an anchor, Shepard Smith is an anchor, Rush Limbaugh was talk radio, Rachel Maddow is an anchor. You know what they all ahve in common? They are all seen as thought leaders and shape the minds and hearts of their viewers for their political ideology. In each case they are more well known than any single politician minus the President. Doesn't matter what they "should be," what matters is that they are. Democrats can cling to their principles and eat their own at any hint of scandal all they want. It won't help them win any election. All it does is give the other side more ammo, a cheap victory to celebrate, and a weaker opposition voice.
  14. This whole thing reeks. To be clear I do not condone any of the actions by the Cuomo's - however, this serves as another example of Democrats being all to willing to eat their own, and weaken their party, their platform, and their messaging, further empowering the GOP who have done much worse, repeatedly, circle the wagons and in fact further empower their worst perpetrators. The stuff the Cuomo's got in trouble for would be celebrated by the right because it "triggers the libs." There are several instances of the Dems sacrificing their own most vocal and most capable on the altar of extremist public opinion. Al Franken comes to mind among others. This damages the entire a whole, even more so that the manufactured and often paid for (IMO) scandal. The republicans know this pattern and have been caught paying for hit pieces to manufacture scandal and silence up and coming leaders on the left.
  15. You laugh, but Iowa's whole "bestest, most awesomest season" in program history (cough 10-3) basically boiled down to them successfully kicking field goals, not scoring touchdowns.
  16. You said we didn't try, not that it wasn't productive, so accept you were wrong and we can move on
  17. Pretty sure Jurgens did get flagged for doing exactly that
  18. Haha... Iowa can't even make this top 25.
  19. If we are hiring Raiola, know that his nephew is one of, if not the best QB in the upcoming class and if hiring helps us get him, he gets a pass or two on the recruiting trail.
  20. Man, these are both soooo hilarious... We'll piss and moan all year about not having a reliable return man and our lack of special teams production. But then when we recruit someone to address this need we'll crap all over in the players recruitment thread just in case he comes to our site to see what people are saying about his commitment. Dang we are an AWESOME FAN BASE!!!! Woooo! Here in Nebraska everyone does their part to support the team. And build for future success. Go US!
  21. My god, can you people find anything else to complain about??????
