  1. Quick man, take that post down!!! You can't mention SOS here.. Angry, bitter people will refer to it as a moral victory and discredit it immediately as #fakenews. There is no way a team can be a good team but have a not so great record because of who they played rather than how they played. - Its an asinine thought.
  2. I'll put it this way, if Riley recruited Jurgens, Pelini recruited the Daniel's brother. If Riley recruited the Daniels bros, Frost recruited Jurgens. You don't get it both ways.
  3. Still wrong on several of those. You keep repeating this mistake.
  4. Not to quote myself... But this guy would be the homerun hire we're looking for. I would be overjoyed to have him- Probably too good to be true. Our only chance of landing him would be that he doesn't want to leave the midwest for USC. But man, one can dream. https://soonersports.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/bill-bedenbaugh/580 • Has established himself as one of the country’s top developers of offensive line talent since joining Oklahoma's staff in 2013. • Was named one of Rivals.com’s top 25 recruiters of 2017, ’18 and ’19, and was a finalist in 2017 and a semifinalist in 2018 for the Broyles Award, given to the nation’s top assistant coach. • With him on staff over the last eight years, OU ranks first nationally in total offense (521.1 ypg) and pass efficency rating (171.3), second in scoring offense (42.0 ppg) and passing yards per attempt (9.7), third in yards per rush (5.6) and fifth in completion percentage (66.0) and yards per completion (14.6). The Sooners are the only program in the country to rank in the top 10 in rushing offense (10th at 229.8 ypg) and passing offense (ninth at 291.3 ypg) during that span.
  5. Has this guy been mentioned??? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bedenbaugh Bill Bedenbaugh is an American football coach and former player. He is the current Co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at the University of Oklahoma. He was the offensive line coach starting in 2013 and was promoted to co-OC prior to the 2017 season. Bedenbaugh is a spread offense offensive line coach from the Mike Leach coaching tree.
  6. Sorry, that's murder. He intentionally escalated the situation by going into the house specifically to retrieve the fire arm. He was 10 paces away, lined up the shot and pulled the trigger. That wasn't an instinctual act of self defense. He was out of harms way, not even a punch was thrown. What's more, he stood there posing for the camera next to his kill, arguing with the camera person, rather than offer aid. This ain't the wild wild west.
  7. Barney Cotton is 65, just saying. Cotton eventually will have a decision to make: Will he jump back into college coaching? It won't be in 2020. He knows that. But he keeps an open mind about 2021. During those long nights, he still thinks about drawing up plays and what he would do in certain situations. But then he ponders the notion of jumping back into the 80-hour work weeks that routinely go along with the gig. Would he be ready for that? https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/sipple/steven-m-sipple-after-heart-transplant-cotton-takes-life-slowly-but-counts-blessings-often/article_03171697-adc1-5817-84f4-5b0315f2560b.html
  8. Anyone remember when the last time we had a roughing the passer call for smacking our dual threat QB? I recall several ticky tack calls against our defense and remember thinking, man Martinez gets smacked like that almost every play. - Not excusing Martinez's play, genuinely curous.
  9. My M-I-L is a traveling nurse. She makes a decent money, but has no benefits. That's the trade off, I'd say she comes out slightly ahead after forking out of her paycheck for typical benefits. I'll add if you're willing to go to incredibly risky COVID areas you can make major bank. I'm referring to the typical non-covid, travel nurse experience. The worker shortage is largely because it has become too expensive to have kids and raise them into adulthood. We are not replacing the retiring workforce fast enough to maintain our economy. We either need to incentivize people to have more kids, get super OK and enthusiastic about immigration, or get ready for economic contraction. Just as we don't have enough workers to maintain our economy, we also aren't replacing the buyers of goods/ services either.
  10. That's crap. Anyone paying attention at all knows the names and faces of the weakest olinemen. You need me to share, its Benhart and Corcoran. -- Also crap that no one criticizes the QB for poor line play. Oh... Martinez held the ball for 3 seconds... he should've gotten it out in 1.5 its all is his fault rings in the mouth of every Martinez basher there is (slight exaggeration.) - Martinez fumble was all his fault the should have known Corcoran was going to give him half a second on his blind side and thrown the ball away. "Martinez should have kept on the zone read and recognized that Benhart was getting pushed 3 yards into the backfield (again) when we tried to run to the right. I don't know if you're simply trying to flip the script and play devils advocate with this post or not, but it is so far beyond the realm of reality that I feel as though I may be missing the sarcasm emoji in your post.
  11. YOU GUYS MISS ME???? I HAVE A FEW GRANDSONS READY FOR SCHOLARSHIP.
  12. I'm with you. Higher amount of running though does nothing if we can't fix the oline. More often than not this year, running on 1st and 2nd down left us behind on down and distance.
  13. Agreed, however... he is behind Johnson, Yant, and a healthy Ervin and Steppe. Not gonna shed tears over the 5th and 6th string RBs leaving no matter how much potential they may have had. That said, I think its pretty short sighted, try your hand under the new coach that is gonna be here before bolting, there will still be landing spots in the spring.
  14. I wholeheartedly agree. I shouldn't be part of the search criteria, however, they may be the only ones willing to say yes to the opportunity and the amount we are willing to pay. You're assuming that our candidate pool is any available OC. Really our candidate pool is any OC willing to say yes to our offer. I think we are really saying the same thing, but from opposite sides of the coin.
  15. I know a lot of people gripe about hiring seemingly "only" coaches who have ties to the program, but in a market like this, ties to the program is exactly what you are looking for. It gives you a leg up in finding a quality coach. If a coach agrees just for cash, you lose them as soon as you get outbid. True, this can happen if they have ties as well, but, they tend to have a rooting interest in the success of the program and a less likely to leave you spurned. All things being equal, you'd rather have someone with ties, than without.
  16. Dang... we need to find a d coordinator with the last name of Flakes. Then we could have a team of FROSTED KORN FLAKES. Ok, I'll see myself out.
  17. I think that is called trolling and it is against board rules.
  18. What if Frost relinquished OC duties to focus in Special Teams Coordination
  19. Could very well want to know how rehab goes before making a decision.
