  2. Well now, Mr. Critical- can you say that the supply of vaccine is adequate to ensure that we can maintain 1.6 million per day going forward? - The pace of production has to keep up with the pace of delivery. Just because we had enough supply to do 1.6 million on a single day does not mean supply will continue at that rate.
  3. Eh---- Technically, Trump WAS still in charge up until Wednesday until Biden was sworn in. Planning for and ensuring a peaceful exchange of power and adequate protection during the inauguration was HIS responsibility as president throughout the WHOLE time leading up to the actual ceremony. That TRUMP's administration called in the troops and failed to provide adequate lodging puts the blame solely on TRUMP and HIS administration. Sorry to burst that bubble but, FACTS can be a, wait, what's the word you used???? Oh yeah, B!^@h.
  4. Dang, both brothers going to go play for dad?
  5. Man- RESEARCH before you post. This guy is one of your own. Will Wilkinson (born 1973) is an American writer who currently serves as Vice President of Policy at the Niskanen Center.[1] Until August 2010, he was a research fellow at the Cato Institute where he worked on a variety of issues including Social Security privatization and, most notably, the policy implications of happiness research.[2] Wilkinson was also the managing editor of the Cato Institute's monthly web magazine, Cato Unbound. Previously, he was Academic Coordinator of the Social Change Project and the Global Prosperity Initiative at The Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and, before that, he ran the Social Change Workshop for Graduate Students for The Institute for Humane Studies. His political philosophy is described by The American Conservative magazine as "Rawlsekian"; that is, a mixture of John Rawls's principles and Friedrich von Hayek's methods.[3] Wilkinson formerly described his political views as libertarian, but he now rejects that label.[4] Biography[edit] Wilkinson was born in Independence, Missouri, and grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995, received an M.A. in philosophy from Northern Illinois University in 1998, and did work toward a Ph.D. at the University of Maryland.[citation needed] In 2009 Wilkinson gained Canadian citizenship via his father, a Canadian expatriate in America, whose Canadian citizenship was reinstated following a change in Canadian emigration law.[5] In 2015, Wilkinson completed his MFA studies at the University of Houston. 6. Well come on man, spit it out. This is a message board, where rumors spawn and grow to create mass chaos. Get it out there. Don't keep us in suspense. We need our outrage fix.
  7. Oh and by the way @Archy1221. While you are looking to prove that my chosen media sources have lied to me (not right wing media sources) here is proof that your media sources actively lie to you. - But you knew that. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/11/14/fox-news-host-tucker-carlson-apologizes-after-falsely-claiming-a-dead-man-voted-in-georgia/ https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/fox-news-apologizes-stock-gains-graphic-special-report-1234626900/ https://thehill.com/homenews/media/506096-fox-news-apologizes-for-mistakenly-cropping-trump-out-of-photo-with-epstein https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/11/04/fox-news-apologizes-clinton-report/93300254/ https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/seth-rich-wikileaks-fox-news-sean-hannity-donald-trump-russia-1094896/ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-55413932 https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/i-never-had-physical-proof-to-back-up-any-such-statements-former-fox-news-guest-apologizes-to-seth-richs-brother-for-dnc-conspiracy-theory/ https://www.npr.org/2020/12/23/949751583/some-right-wing-media-air-segments-to-rebut-their-own-claims-of-voter-fraud
  8. Haha, I'd say, "Wow @Archy1221, you were actually right on this one. Thanks for sharing the correct and factual information. I stand corrected. Thank you. So, let's see the evidence, which means both the clear retraction as well as the source of the evidence that proved those items were unequivocally false. Bet you won't.
  9. No they weren't. But Fox News told you they were, so you believe it. Please provide the actual retraction for each one you identified, as well as the source that unequivocally showed they were false. I dare you- of course you won't because you can't. Now do what you always do when challenged to provide proof, make and excuse why you can't, state a whataboutism, or try to reverse and challenge me instead. I'm open minded provided the information and the retraction, and I'll concede on the point.
  10. Quit watching FOX News man, it'll do so much to bring you back to reality.
  11. An example of Trump supporter thought process: Something bad about Trump said anonymously: It's not true, person won't stand by their statement Something bad about Trump said on the record: It's not true, said person has an axe to grind Something bad about Trump said by someone formerly loyal to Trump: It's not true, that person is a traitor Something bad about Trump said by Trump recorded and verified: It's not true, that's not what he meant, it's being taken out of context, oh he also said the opposite once. Something bad about Trump seen with their own eyes: It's not true, even if it was the ends justify the means.
  12. Haha. Why, all you would do is try to discredit them anyway.
  13. So glad Cheeto god is gone, however- there is a reason that the founding fathers worked to have checks and balances and a weakened executive branch. Our nation was not created to be ruled by the whims of any single individual. While I know Biden needs to issue these executive orders to undue the damage of the Trump administration, I will not be opposed if congress gets off its hindquarters to reign in the role of the president and executive orders during this administration. (Unfortunately we know that passing them under a Democratic admin is the only way any republican would ever vote in favor). Of course this would mean that congress itself would have to actually, you know, do their damn job, once these changes pass.
  14. Eh... my view of Liberals vs. Conservative boils down to this Liberals- Together we can achieve more - let's go get ours Conservatives- I'm strongest on my own - I got mine - you go get yours.
  15. Well now, that begs the question as to what you define as success.
  16. Archy, I think you ask a legitimate question on funding. Here is what I can tell you from a parents perspective. Schools are to the point that they have little budgetary spending left over after paying staff salaries. Year after year parents are being asked to spend more and more on supplies, not just for their students, but for classroom use. Students no longer get text books, but rather get printed copies of text books and worksheets as books are expensive. Teachers are severely underpaid and often take on purchasing items for their classrooms, items that should be supplied by the school, simply because they care that much. The truth of the matter is that we cannot even begin to discuss what level of funding is necessary to raise our schools to the quality of education that they need to be at, due to the fact that we aren't even providing enough to support them at the dismal level they are currently at. So yes, if you want to argue that the funding of schools is a blackhole issue, you very well could, but only because education has be so woefully underfunded and neglected for so long, that bringing it to where it needs to be will require an immense shift in budgetary priorities. To those that are fiscally conservative, that might be an incredibly hard pill to swallow.
  17. I swear Archy- part of what makes you so frustrating is that you can really seem to get "it" on some things, then on others you just well, do this.
  18. Doesn't bother me... the education discussion has been happening in this thread for multiple days now, and has involved far more than Archy1221 and I. I just joined in this morning. If mods would like to move the convo, they are welcome.
  19. Sure, I know many kids like that as well. I also know high performing kids that did similar- they busted their butt for 3 years and wanted to take a light load and try to enjoy their last year. Here's and example for you in a class of 30ish students: One of these students started a successful business and employees former classmates, the other works as a laborer, care to guess which is which? Student 1) GPA somewhere between 4.0 and 3.5, scores 27 on act. Finishes in the top 5ish in the class, took AP classes, earned a significant scholarship, was actively involved in a myriad of extra curricular activates throughout high school. Student 2) Screwed around throughout high school, was known as a student with behavioral problems, barely passed, took every cruise class possible Don't have time to get it right now. Notice how I said rural areas though...
  20. I've seen this first hand. I personally dated a girl that fit this exact profile- Asian though, not Hispanic. However, because she completed high school she's now making $25+ an hour working for Wells Fargo. If not for that, she would have ended up another welfare case. Though it took her a while to get there- her education provided her a way out of that life. That said- I know many, many more white kids who are entitled, with a lack of work ethic, drop out of school, drift around their home town, end up on drugs, but refuse to work in a packing house, because they are better than that- and end up popping out 10 kids and milking the system for every dollar they can.
