Thanks to eliot for reminding me that the board is in need of it's own "logo/emblem". So Im turning to our talented members once again, b/c I know you'd do a much better job than me. Requirements (more may be posted as I think of them): *Image size should be no bigger than 100x100 & no larger than 20 KB. *Include some type of reference to HuskerBoard -- could be full name or even initials "HB" -- a symbol that makes you think of Huskerboard when you see it *Does not have to include red -- black & white would work *Should be a design that looks professional & represents the nature of the board, i.e. a "sports feel" *Should be something that would look good on a t-shirt or letterhead *Of course it needs to be original Any other ideas for "requirements" or questions feel free to post them. Deadline: Post entries in this thread. Submissions will be accepted until Oct 29. Prize: Winner earns $10 Huskerboard bucks, redeemable at Huskergear.com. I was there the last time they came out, which I believe was '94 vs CU. Helped carry them out of the tunnel and over a State of Nebraska truck, which looked like it got hit by a truck. Was a great time, but I agree that it shouldnt & wont happen for the UT game. Now if it were a night game, UT was #1, we were both undefeated and gameday was there and they all picked against us - Corso would deserve his very own CHUNK. But overall its just not that big of a deal anymore. especially when ISU & KSU do it after every 1ST DOWN these days. It had more meaning back then before the bush leaugers ruined it. And Im not sure what you mean by "1st round is on ETR"... try the first teen rounds baby.

He makes that "best student section in the UNIVERSE!!" comment every friggin time we play in the rotten apple. It didnt bother me the 1st couple times I heard it, but for him to feel its necessary to say that everytime is nauseating. Im not saying NU's SS is the best (largely thanks to the AD for stuffing us in the corner among other reasons), but how someone could say STATES students are MORE AWESOMER fans after their well-documented reputation for bush league sportsmanship, is reckless journalism if nothing else. Not to mention flat wrong. I havent been there, but expect ATM to be at the top in the country, mainly because they are the focus of the stadium (take notes UNL) and have great traditions. And with Rose's KState manlovefest & lack of love from most Husker fans, I cant help but think that he is "padding his resume" to take the Mildcat job when Pavelka takes back over.

I agree. Not all will go black, so it will look lame at best. Hand out black towels, and call for a REDDEROUT. However, a black-out at the ATM game would be proper. Would stand out strong among the ron burgundies.

My sentiments exactly. Big 12 = :asshat sometimes. Just had a thought -- FSN probably deselected the NU game for their national telecast b/c they knew KState would pick up their PPV telecast, since Husker fans have a good reputation for purchasing the pkg. Whereas ISU-OU probably wouldnt have been picked up for PPV b/c, well, to put it simply... Spooner fan---> <----Cyclown fan PPV = hard.

Callahans on 87th in Shawnee is a big Husker bar. Ive been there for other PPV games, so Im sure theyre getting it, but would reco calling ahead to find out when they suggest getting there if you want in. People were sitting in the parking lot in tailgate chairs watching the TVs thru the windows last yr during the baylor game - its quite a scene. Ridiculous that FSN chose this game over NU-KSU. ISU coming off an uninspired home loss to us, then going to Norman. Instead of a game featuring 2 teams coming off wins who have become quasi-"rivals" over the recent yrs, with the "better" of the 2 teams playing in a venue we haven't won at in several years. Hmmm, wonder which game will be more competitive BillyJoe FSN guy.

A place called Sidetracks is a classic spot, definitely hit this place b4 or after the game - you wont get treated better in "enemy territory" anywhere else in the country. Barrys is also a good place to watch the game - wide open, huge projection tvs. And of course 'they alley' is the official board hangout - details coming about our tailgate party which you'll be invited to. 4.) Win or lose, we plan to have a few cold ones somewhere after the game (since ABC stuck us with an 11AM kickoff). Any laws against open containers? (The only reason I ask is because there were at Ohio State last year.
