  1. You just don't get it. We don't hate him, we just think he has hit his ceiling.
  2. You hope we have 10 more years of this slop before he rises. Heaven help us. TO handled his criticism with class, not F bomb tirades against the best fan base in sports.
  3. Yeah, you've mentioned that 47 times today. Nobody is buying that bogus excuse. I'm baffled at those who think we should keep Bo around. Ya, we got the last laugh yesterday, but how were you feeling when it was 24-7?
  4. Changing subordinates doesn't make sense to me. Get rid of the guy who leads the subordinates, too.
  5. I think this team would have done better without a coach.
  6. I learned that whatever team makes the last bumble loses. What a comedy of errors.
  7. Or one might argue that the SEC isn't the tough conference most espouse. Maybe Missouri mystically got better by joining the SEC.
  8. I think this premise is ridiculous. We will have a team that beats the best, but loses to the worst? Highly unlikely. Next to impossible. So I didn't vote.Hmm so highly unlikely that we could have beat Mich St this year but lost to Rutgers or Illinois? Doesn't seem next to impossible The operative words are "could have." Plus your poll is implying more than just a couple wind and losses. Besides Illinois and Rutgers were never in doubt.
  9. I was a pretty good high school running back and strong safety, but never watched football on TV. Then my brother, a grade ahead of me, went to Nebraska. I was down goose hunting in southern Illinois the day that game was played, and it was unbelievable. Like you TO I've been a fan ever since, and am more than discussed with the delay in getting rid of Bo.
  10. Interesting phrasing. Sounds like the players may know something. If you're referring to Bo being let go, they wouldn't tell the players before they tell the coach.
  11. This guy comes across as a condescending, pompous, arrogant know it all. I change channels the second I hear his voice.
  12. I think this premise is ridiculous. We will have a team that beats the best, but loses to the worst? Highly unlikely. Next to impossible. So I didn't vote.
  13. Looking at our schedule there is literally no way we finish below .500. However in your scenario it would have to depend on if we were still striving for excellence and not settling. When NU decides to start settling for mediocrity is the day I will stop caring. No one cheers for average I would venture to say that few coaches can produce a worse product at Nebraska than this one we have.
  14. They play good hockey up there don't they aye?
  15. Didn't see the kerfuffel but I thought the sign said F*%# her right in the pu$$y. I was impressed with the patience of the "artist". According to my kids the phrase is a Utube sensation of sorts. It was new to me, now I feel slightly in the "now". I think that was what that screwball Fla St. QB yelled in the student union when he got up on top of a table. Fine young man that he is.
  16. Ah, yet another manifestation of the "you are not real fans" argument. Was wondering when this innuendo would reappear. No, I am not a season ticket holder. I also do not live in Nebraska and so rarely get the opportunity to attend a game. I did, however, attend UNL for both undergrad and grad school and did have student tickets in those years. I have invested greatly in the University and I don't like seeing my alma mater's proud tradition made into a laughingstock. What is happening at Nebraska is utterly unacceptable for everything that's invested in this program, and any fan should be able to see this. Bingo. I would say that there are a large majority of posters that are out of state, hence the reason for posting/discussing so often in a message board. HB is an easy way to communicate with like-minded individuals who are as passionate about the team. Its not like I can walk into my office on Monday and discuss Nebraska football with whomever. Now, just because someone lives in Dallas, Chicago, LA, etc. doesnt make them any less of a fan than someone that drives in every Saturday morning from York or Omaha. I still attend at least one game a year in Lincoln, because it is a special place, and if I could realistically get up there every weekend, I'd have tickets in a heartbeat. However, with the performace as of late it becomes increasingly more difficult to spend a couple grand on a trip - only to have the team put forth the effort they do. Yep. I live in Peoria, and agree with everything you wrote.
  17. Firings aren't made after bowl games. Our best hope is that we play in The Interim Coaches Bowl. If we're in the Interim Coaches Bowl, would we be playing Michigan or Florida? Or would it be some other program at has had a change in head coach but has actually become bowl eligible? Let's be trail blazers and have a 3 team contest. Nebraska v. Michigan v. Florida. Guarantee a sellout with through the roof TV ratings. I see a problem though. We would need a 3 sided coin. Architects get working on that please.
  18. "Not improving enough"? We're going the other way, and the breaking news to show that SE understands this is that we just added Devry, The University of Phoenix, and the winner of the intramural flag football team to the schedule for the next 10 years.
  19. There are obviously a good bunch, but the people who are the loudest on here do not have season tickets. Go to the game log and start checking off names. Like others I am fed up with Bo, but am not ready to give up my tickets! "Go Cubs go. Go Cubs go. Hey Chicago what do you say the Cubs are going to win today."
