Same concept. Just scaled down. With the limited number of commits in this class you have to be sure. You can't keep a spot for him in this class if he decides he isn't not fully committed to Nebraska. If he visits Oregon and a DE from Georgia wants to commit, you can't turn him down.

I agree it is a little different with the coaching change but Riley still can not commit to these kids. This is his job. "Hey Jane will you go to prom with me? Now in the weeks ahead I'm going to go out with 3 different girls just to make sure they are not a better fit for me. Hope that's ok!"

Ok maybe not pull but the coaches should not plan on him. If you are going to take a look then you are not committed and the coaches should have that policy and many if them do. "Listen, if you visit another school, we are going to move forward with our plans as you are not committed." If the Bussey situation was say a huge position of need.. Let's say quarterback. And he made it known that he will decommit if you recruit another QB. Then he takes visits to 3 other schools, what are the coaches expected to do? Be committed to a kid that doesn't show that commitment back? Its a two way street.

Plan B. Place holder. Let's not act like that isn't a possibility. Its not like it hasn't happened before to Nebraska. I hope our coaches don't bury their heads in the sand while their recruits are on different campuses.

If the Davis twins visit Missouri does it make sense for the coaching staff to consider them as committed?

Of course he does but he is no longer holding up his end of the bargin. Now we are plan B. And yes I would say that for any kid. You should not commit and use a school as a place holder as you continue to look around. We have stayed away of recruiting running backs because the Bussey family has basically threatened to leave if we do. So now 2 months before signing day he leaves us with our thumbs in our butts. If you visit another school the staff should consider them as not committed because they are not committed. Failing to see why this is hard to understand?

Give me Bielema. Then David Shaw. Then Jerry Kill. Top 3 for me. They just play downhill smash mouth football we need to get back to. Its easy to recruit this type of offense to a northern Midwestern state than the spread option. In a perfect world I would want Bielema to recruit every cattle barn and corn silosilo in Nebraska looking for those mammoths to control the line then pound it down teams' throats all day. Play Nebraska football.
