Once again I get why people want to post on the message board asking fans not to tweet at recruits and that it can reflect negatively on Nebraska that I can understand. But, I do not think that anyone reading these statements is going to stop sending tweets at these recruits. Some people are just natural internet/social media trolls or misguided fans and I feel like if you own a twitter account you need to understand that you are going to get people who are going to post on your account that either are annoying as all get up or send negative tweets. As creepy as it is to tweet at highs school athletes it is going to happen.

I'm excited about this season, it's fun to be optimistic, and I'm glad we have the chance to have a discussion like this. But, like Landlord pointed out, this isn't really anything new either. Soooo ... we are not back... I will have to cancel my special order "We're Back" Nebraska T-shirts and matching tube socks. Can't do the same about my forehead tattoo though...

Exactly the reason I have been telling people to pump the breaks on this kid. He likes Nebraska. Has been here many times. I think we are definitely in it until the end. Just need to let this LOOOONNNGGG process play out. Man I am so confused I thought it was "all gas no breaks".

I agree as well. I was really excited to get this guy in a husker uniform and thought he would be the natural starter at quarterback, but it didn't pan out.

Well of course BTN should be added. In fact everyone should be included in the "out to get NU" except most Nebraska fans, Larry Culpepper, Larry the Cable guy, and Gabrielle Union.

I think I would agree with Count on this one, but I can see the idea behind keeping the crowd in the game to help impress the recruits. I am no expert on how to get recruits to commit, but if I came for a Nebraska game and saw them struggle to win a game that they should have easily won I might begin to question a possible commitment. I believe it comes down to a couple different kinds of kids or combination of the two. One is a kid that wants to be surrounded by talent to have the best product on the field and the other that wants no competition so that he can come in and play right away and be the star. Of course there is always different ideals for each kid, but if I remember correctly I thought he said he wanted to go to a school that had talented kids already on the roster.

Not to say it isn't an awful off-season, but more like we should be accustomed to it. 2014 we had Leroy Alexander suspended for a game. 2015 had 5 total most notably Michael Rose Ivey, Jonathon Rose, and Cethan Carter. I guess I am curious what they were suspended for if in fact Reilly is also in the same boat as Gerry.
