  1. That would kinda be funny.i was going to say it would be hilarious if paps called a perfect game. or if riley kept him and beck on staff as coordinators. That would kinda be funny. i was going to say it would be hilarious if paps called a perfect game. or if riley kept him and beck on staff as coordinators. Hilarious alright
  2. ... because there are a lot of idiots on this forum... Tressel was a fantasy... and Frost would have been a huge gamble. At least Bo had considerable experience in the role of DC. Frost is still on Helfrich's short leash. He's little more than the Papuchis of Oregon (albeit with a much better mentor). I'm sorry, while we have the fortune of a few decades of great history (you know, Minnesota once had that too, before most of us were born)... we're no Alabama or Ohio State. There's no Saban or Meyer who's going to come on board here, because they know they can't recruit to the level they need to easily win here. That said, Riley has done some noteworthy things, with a team which is another notch, or two... below where we are, in terms of recruiting appeal alone. I would FAR rather see an experienced coaching staff (far more experienced than Bo/company), one which has so much respect, they were even considered by a number of elite programs, one which HAS won games against top 10 opponents, with inferior talent, a history of identifying/developing that inferior talent into NFL drafts, etc... I would much rather see them come on board at Nebraska. They could be a flop... every new hire is a crap shoot. But I like the odds way better, than some of the numb skull suggestions that so many have suggested here. Now Riley is going to bring on/retain the guys he's comfortable with, thinks can get the job done. I'm pretty certain, he knows far more in what to look for in terms of qualified candidates, than anyone here. I suggest everyone buckle up, take it all in, and hang on for the ride.. all the whining/complaining/second guessing in the world, isn't going to change the outcome. Great post... +1. Assembling a staff is tough. It's not just as simple as hiring the best recruiter at each position. You assemble dream teams in between seasons in free agency on your Xbox. In real life, Riley probably isn't comfortable hiring a lot of guys if he doesn't know even if they are fantastic coaches. The guy DOES have to assemble a staff with some semblance of chemistry, after all. He needs like minded guys working towards the same goal. Very excited about our new coach! Which is exactly what BO. did I would rather have a proven track record at the highest level attainable.
  3. Matchups don't work in your favor when the other team is stronger and quicker. Simple
  4. The last thing it is is the lifting weights part. Every single team has guys who can bench x amount and squat x amount. I have always felt this physical thing is mental and emotional. I guess when they were tapping out after just one play alot of the time maybe they were just emotionally stressed.
  5. Did anybody notice how physical OSU was last night , very strong very physical. Alot like we used to be. I have serious questions about the new staffs' dedication to S+C .What film i have watched on rileys osu showed them getting pushed around alot on both sides of the ball. It seems to me that if we want to get over the hump, with the quality of players we can get here, that what we might lack in athleticism we need to make up in brute strength, conditioning and proper technique. I will be interested in seeing the amount of attention that this crucial component gets from this staff. Lets just say it doesn't look like it is trending ^
  6. I doubt it, he is a mean vindictive child
  7. This argument is tired. It's fun to talk about these things in the abstract, but we just fired a nine-win coach. This isn't some soap opera with make-believe characters, this is a huge employer with literally thousands of people depending on its continued success. Arguing against change for the sake of change makes perfect sense when you stand to lose millions of dollars in the process. At least, arguing for constraint in the decision-making makes sense. If Eichorst doesn't have a splash lined up and he's winging this after Sunday morning, then we've just put a lot of things in jeopardy with the hope that it *might* get better. That's not a good gamble, and it could as easily backfire as succeed. I don't think Eichorst did this, however. I think he's spent the last year getting himself ready for this circumstance and the "process" was all but concluded before he ever dismissed Pelini. I get the impression from Eichorst's presser that he has this firmly under control. THAT is what dictates your decision-making. The forethought and proper planning, the due diligence on candidates and more than handshake assurances that you have your guy, not some vague "it might get better." Arguing that it might get worse is simple prudence. This is big-time college football. Edifices like Nebraska aren't built on "might." Do you really think that we couldn't maintain at least the record we had with pelini, especially with our non con sched and being in the west!
  8. I agree. How would it look for him to come and win 8-9 games for 3-4 years and get canned. I don't think there is a real clear cut guy out there. well we gave bobo 7 I think frost would get the time he needed
  9. Not right now... I've said a few times that the OC and DC need to go, that replacements need to be hired, and Bo's got a year or two to unf*ck himself... He had plenty of time for that!
  10. and sometimes it is, what say you Oklahoma.
  11. You say pass me some a da sh#t ya been smokin
  12. I guess I'm gave you too much credit when it comes to seeing the improvement if you think just changing out Westerkamp for Pierson-El was the only change that was made...in which case we need to reassign the term "moron" to whomever didn't watch what happened to the gunners on both of Pierson-El's punt returns today. That wouldn't be you, would it? I don't care what minor adjustment with the gunners the genius made it don't happen without DPE But i guess it is better than the genius's run D. " I haven't forget how to stop the run" adjustment.
  13. If the keep this clown who F,n cares!!!
  14. I hope he SE gives us all a break and fires that worthless POS Lets give him another yr and then you will say well he had bad luck and then another well i feel sorry for him and then another............................................................................. another
  15. Red it ain't gonna happen just let gooooooooo.........
  16. What did the moron DO? If you you call dpe back there a stroke of coaching genius, hell how many couldn't figure that one out. How bout the fine job with his run D." I haven't forgotten how to stop the run" quote. There is your real Bo the guy that can't string 2 sentences together.
  17. You are freakin dreamin if you think for one second that would happen
  18. That perty much sums it up, I have a sick feeling the asshat will be back
  19. When the season began the team seemed to be sick of 9 wins and determined to take the next step. Now senior leaders on the team such as Kenny Bell are sending the opposite message. :/ Agreed. And it's unfortunate because I believe Bo has the work ethic and smarts to be an incredible coach. I've just lost confidence in his ability to fix the mental aspect of himself and his teams. I really believe Bo just needs a change of scenery to start fresh. Bo is dumber than a box of rocks ! the moron can't string 2 sentences together. Incredible coach do you know what you are looking at?
