Look up sir, there goes the point. I disagree. The point of this thread is how awesome we are because our fans buy tickets. Other programs are busy competing on the field, winning big games. It's really a testament to where our program is, how far we have fallen. But, you are free to form your own opinion. I have mine. Happy Holidays!

I think the OP is referring to the "big games." The ones at night, under the lights against the elite teams - the same games we lose in big ways. 408 rushing yards. 59-point spreads...that sort of thing. We can compete against the bottom-dwellers of the conference, but its the games against the powers that are the subject of his post (at least the way I read it). Not getting scorched. Not having all-time offensive records set against our defense, that sort of thing. FWIW, I think we have to ride this horse for a few more years and give everything a chance to develop so we can get back to where we want to be - competing for conference championships and beyond.

Could lose one non-con (say no FCS bye week for anyone). Make the conference championship game MEAN SOMETHING. How about the conference champ games are the first round of the CFP? That gets you 10 teams right there. Forget the "group of five" or make them play each other in a best two teams kind of a deal. I think OSU is better than Wisconsin and maybe Penn State, but hard to take them not taking care of business, not playing a 13th game and being rewarded. No chance for injury, or an extra loss. Michigan, too. They lost to Iowa. But whatever.

This is not what we HAD to do. It is what we chose to do. Why are people still surprised when we go pass heavy? I'm not sure who is surprised. I'm certainly not. It's kind of been Langs' fall-back since he got here. Not sure what that has to do with the above posts, though. Seems pretty negative. Not sure that is called for.
