Once again, Nebraska (thinking we are more important than we really are) screws everything up. Decision delayed because of the hot mic incident...FFS We played in a bowl with 5 wins. What does it matter?

DONU should leave the Big Ten, that is the only move here. They are stoic and reserved and frankly their willingness to share tv revenue equally among members is stupid. My point is simple, we are on dangerous ground if we think our team is bigger than the conference. Since we came to this conference, we played exactly one game for a conference championship and I'm pretty sure we all remember how that turned out. Big game, big stage and nothing but embarrassment to show for it. Haven't been competitive against the better teams in the conference since. I'm frustrated. We, as a fan base, are incredibly proud of our program, it's history and traditions. But thinking that somehow makes us better or more passionate than other teams' fan bases is silly. I'm tired of losing to Wisconsin and Iowa. I want to dominate them.

I unintentionally derailed this topic. I was making a joke about us, as a society, collectively having a responsibility to keep each other as safe as we can through all of this. Had we not been so stupid 5-6 months ago, we probably could enjoy Husker Football in a few weeks.

I don't want to get into a fight. but I don't have a voice in how my company is run. I am not in management. I am, however, a professional responsible for essentially running my business. The notion that college football players don't get paid is laughable to me. I was a student-athlete back in my day and there is so much compensation provided to these kids compared to other students it's laughable to me when people scream to pay them. These kids aren't Roman Gladiators, they are students! Who are expected to go to class, do their homework, get good grades AND perform at a high level on the field. Yes, it can be done. No, they don't need to "get paid" How much is out of state tuition at NU??? FFS We are all pissed that there is no football. Who is willing to admit that is because as a whole, we argued and fought and refused to put a damn mask on? I KNOW that is why we can't have football. Next time you're at the Super Saver and see 'ol Cooter without a mask, thank him for ruining college football season for everybody.

My employer announced that they were shutting off all business travel back in March. I was in New Mexico. They next closed our offices. I neither had a say or a choice. That is life. We don't always have a "say." Remember, at many schools they are students first.

Show of hands: how many here (who are employed) honestly feel like they are paid an appropriate amount of money for doing their job? An amount of money that is truly commensurate with the value they provide their employer? They are students. Students that in many cases receive free education, free room and board, free books, free academic tutoring and more. Advantages that their classmates do not receive. Stop it with the union BS and pay the players. It's garbage and will ruin the sport we love.

We don't fit into the big ten. This topic amplifies that point. Never did, never will. We should leave the conference, play football somewhere, have fun. This is likely the best chance we have had to win a natty in over 2 decades.

If we go rogue, there's a very strong chance we will have opted out of the Big Ten. Which is fine if we have something else in mind, but we cannot survive as an Independent. As it is, we will walk away from $50 million from the tv contract (granted not this year). Let's face it, our football team has been largely just a stain on the Big Ten for the past decade. The other teams likely have never circled us on their schedule as a tough game they needed to win. They look past us every year. The last bowl we won was 5 years ago and we didn't even qualify on the field! This is the wrong approach. We need to get back to our greatness, THEN make a bold move. Not the other way around. This? This is lunacy.

If we trade that success, we may never know that kind of success (and by may never, I mean will never). The factors that came together then are gone now. Our facilities, strength and conditioning, nutrition...we were the leaders then. The big dog. Now even Northwestern has facilities that make you go "holy sh*t!"...

We got a ton of calls our way today. I cannot and will not complain about the refs. We were sloppy at times and got called out. Thats ok. There were plenty of plays where we stole a bad call.

I don't understand the comments about whether a given opponent fears the Huskers before the game. I do not believe that Michigan-Michigan State fear each other, Ohio State - Michigan fear each other, Ohio State - Penn State, Wisconsin - Minnesota. Pick a rivalry in the conference, and honestly tell me if you think either team fears the other? Hate maybe but not fear
