  1. There's an OT from Florida, who holds a UCF offer visiting this weekend, per Rivals. 3* OT doesn't have an offer yet. Willie Canty, offer list doesn't look too impressive, Louisville, UCF and USF are the best offers out there. A couple of SEC schools have shown some interest. *edit never mind saw this was from last week. Keeping track of the day is hard.
  2. @dudeguyy I can't access the link here at work, any indication on wall funding in this approved plan?
  3. Rex also go lit up. He did a little drag route and the LB jarred the ball lose with a massive hit. I don't recall seeing him much after that. He may have been injured slightly on that play.
  4. Garoppolo gets a $50k+ bonus if the Pats lose the SB as well. Dude is gonna get paid. Basically for a team he used to play making the SB, he is going to get at least $130k+ bonus. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2755282-jimmy-garoppolo-receives-79k-bonus-for-patriots-reaching-super-bowl-lii
  5. Just for the benefits, yes. Everything else would be gravy.
  6. Aztecas by Sapp brothers. I have no idea why so many people love that place. I'll take some issue with @KnappIc about Stella's. Not a better burger around. Maybe it's the Bellevue bias as I've been eating there since I was 5, but there's no place better in Omaha for a burger.
  7. Wait...a baby is allowed to be born in the 9th month?? What is this, Russia? Why are we allowing this?? Those stupid liberal states. We need to fix this NOW. No more births from the womb in the 9th month.
  8. Anyone brave enough to try these? And why even do this? Is KFC trying sell their gravy by the vat?? http://www.extracrispy.com/drinks/4744/kfc-releases-trio-of-gravy-based-cocktail-recipes
  9. The issue is how soft and slow the NCAA moves with punishment. It may be worth it to tamper and get a stud because you likely won't face punishment for 5-6 years. And in the case of UNC and their fake classes, face no punishment at all. Then that's not even factoring how inconsistent NCAA punishments are. For a coach with questionable standards (Petrino for example) he'll have no worries about tampering because he knows he'll get away with it for years before anything happens.
  10. If it passes, it'll be 2-3 years of the wild wild west and they will have to reel it back in some. I think logically it would make sense to allow immediate transfers after coaching changes or university sanctions and leave grad transfer rules the same. All other transfers sit out one year.
  11. How do green cards work? He's married to an American citizen for years, he should able to obtain a green card no problem*. Why did he not do that? Seems like an easy fix for him and his family. * However easy it is to get a green card, I've never had to research that.
  12. 3 of the 4 have former Huskers. Rex (who should be active against the Jags) will be an active player and VV is on IR for the Pats as well. If he wasn't hurt, he would be on the active roster as well.
  13. Another factor for this, it gives the aging generation more chance to stay independent. I know for me, the time is not too far into the future where I'll be talking to my parents (both early 80s) about relinquishing their driver's license. Now, outside of really not being able to drive, they are fully capable of living independently. Either they would have to pay a lot on a regular basis for cabs or ubers to get to their many doctor appointments, and the grocery store or anywhere else to travel or move to some sort of assisted facility. It's going to be a tough talk, but they shouldn't be on the road much longer. That said, if they could get one of these, they wouldn't have to move from the family home, which they have owned for 30 years.
  14. I, for one, am all for this. Not only self driving cars, I can imagine in about 20 years, where no one in my family will own a car. Just request one when we need it and it takes us where we go. Why pay insurance or car payments when I can just have an uber-service for a flat monthly fee? And no one would need to drive me around. No more car accidents, reduced emissions, no more reliance on fossil fuels. So many other benefits. https://www.engadget.com/2018/01/12/gm-fully-autonomous-car-no-wheel-2018/
  15. it's mind blowing to think there are at least two living people that have heard first hand accounts of what the civil war was like. I would love to sit and talk to those two and just hear the stories they would have about their Dad.
  16. Someone one twitter did the math on this, and I can't remember who or i'd post it. The 'bonus' equates to roughly $180 an employee. The bonus will be roughly $400M, closing these 60+ stores will save the company $220M. Now Walmart is still paying $180M that they are bonusing to employees, which is nice. Also, nice that the new tax bill will save Walmart $18B. If Walmart would have actually used the tax savings and split it evenly to employees, every employee would have received over $8,500. The 'bonus' looks nice, but it's token gesture by Walmart to say thanks for the huge savings. It's like if someone found my wallet that I lost and had $100 in it and as a thank you, I gave them a penny.
  17. Well, Paul Ryan did come out and say the words were 'unfortunate and unhelpful' so that's boldly damning. sigh
  18. And it's official, welcome coach Ruud.
  19. A lot of schools 'block' certain schools, it's not just UCF thing. It's just this time, the outgoing coach and player both went home. A lot of schools will block conference schools, coach's new school and schools on the schedule for X amount of years. it's to prevent the HC from poaching players to his new school. Just turns out, this the rare case where the player is both going home and following the coach.
  20. Nebraska will do a home and home with UCF for the full release of Vedral. I'm sure there will be some back room deals, Danny White is all about optics, and won't block Vedral from getting a scholarship here. He doesn't want to lose the positive press he's been getting. technically, the 'ban' can be for the life of his college career. UCF never has to release his scholarship and allow him to transfer and get schollie at UNL. But the longer they block his scholarship, the longer they are on 84 scholarships. Until Vedral gets his release, UCF is one scholarship down.
  21. Yes, he's a walk-on, how long is up to UCF. It can be the entire time he's here or one year. There's no guarantee that he will be released and allowed to go to UNL after one season. The only way to have ensured that was to go to JuCo, but since he's already enrolled in classes. He's walking on here, for now.
  22. Doesn't matter if it's a step down, and this has nothing to do about getting film out. It's about playing. In the next scheme, he most likely isn't going to fit. Go somewhere and play. It's his SR season, it's his last rodeo, get on the field, where ever that may be and play the game you love. If by chance he gets lucky enough to get tape for the NFL great, but this is more likely him going, I've got one more year of organized football left, do I want to be a practice dummy or go somewhere and get meaningful snaps? Me, knowing it's my last season, I'm going somewhere where I can get meaningful snaps.
  23. If my skill set didn't translate to said undefeated coaches schemes I would probably look at transferring so I could play my last year, and maybe contribute on the field, in my last year of eligibility.
  24. Early reports of Episode IX were that Leia was going to be a major role and figure in the movie. Obviously that will have to be re-written as Lucas has said they will not CGI or recast her. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-9-leia-role-carrie-fisher/
