Brad Stevens is a BOSS...god I wish he would stop waiting for the Duke job and just take the Illini job!!!! Prediction: Duke offers him 8 million a year when Coach K dies

You think he leaves the NBA? I think Boston knows what kind of asset they have and aren't going to let him go.

Brad Stephens showed he is a really good coach tonight, warriors will lose eventually and they will probably have an L by Christmas

  2. Link I'd love to make fun of Nebraska's recruiting, but we signed 3 ESPN 300 players last year alone (Barnett, S. Morgan and Eric Lee). Not sure where they got the 'one ESPN 300 player since 2010' bit. Maybe an Iowa fan writer Anyway, I know we have signed more than one for sure because I followed ESPN really closely. We also got a lot of Juco top 100 players as well in recruiting classes. It is definitely more than one and POB is a top 300 right know I am pretty sure.
  3. Yes. At the time, it seemed odd to me. But, we started a run immediately after, so maybe it was on purpose? He was chirping at the refs for a while, but didn't seem to get over the top. Must have said a "magic word" Alright thanks! Must have been in the first half I assume. I was wondering why Miles saved all his time outs for the final minutes. He took all four of them to the locker room and could have slowed that CU second half surge with a timeout or two.
  4. Who got a technical foul, was it Miles? I checked ESPN and it said Nebraska 1 technical foul and was wondering who got it.
  5. I think POB may have a good chance to start later in the season, but not at the beginning. Tommy has been really strange the last few games, his INT's are on the uptick due to one reason I(and many I assume) have observed. He more than likely has been ignoring what Langsdorf wants him to do, he is freelancing with the football. It is like recess except everyone out on the field does their job well, and Tommy just makes a silly mistake because he is short and ignores his coaches. If this is in fact the reason he will be replaced mid season with POB having lots of time to prepare. Record does not matter in my opinion to replace Armstrong unless we are undefeated heading past the midway point.
  6. Wisconsin and Northwestern are winnable games though. It will be fresh in every player's mind how close we were to winning both those games. I think this year you will see the Huskers playing with a sense of urgency and better management of closing out games. Strength and conditioning will probably work on finishing for later in the game. I don't want t the strength and conditioning to be the only thing that gets fixed I mean it will most likely be emphasized over the offseason. Coaches need to get better gameplans for the fourth quarter as well because if we fix the little things next year, we may go farther than some may think.
  7. It seems that UCLA hasn't been playing great football the last few games. Of course, we have had our terrible stretches this year too but this team won't have motivation, and frankly isn't good enough to beat us by that many points. They have a few blowouts on their schedule against some good teams and also a bad blowout to USC. We are playing good football right now and that needs to continue because it would feel terrible to lose three straight games to the Bruins in the last 4 years.
  8. He is faster then Stanley Jean-Baptiste and with the size of SJB. He runs a 4.46 40 time according to rivals and this guy is freakishly athletic with size and speed. A jump ball won't go to a tall receiver as easily with this guy at cb,
  9. This Miami team is really good. They may make a run in the tourney if they make it. They blew out a ranked Utah team by 24 and we lost a close match to them because no one wanted it when Shavon was hurt. We need to win these types of games and if we want to make the tournament we need to win out our non-conference schedule.
  10. Fantastic effort by shields and crew for a hard fought game. As the season progresses I feel we will be able to pull out wins against tough competition in the BIG. WE played well enough to win the game but others needed to help shields out in OT. Big ten ACC challenge is tied at 4-4
  11. We can't have a lid on the basket in this second half. I have to say we are defending well against a good offense, but it could be better. Nick Fuller hasn't seen the floor much, is it just this game or has it been all season? He must not be playing as well if he has been sitting the whole season.
  12. I think White needs to attack more instead of settle for threes.
  13. This kid is from California and KJJ retweeted this tweet or another tweet he had in Lincoln. He appears to be from Serra High School in California and an under the radar kid with an offer from Wyoming or he is being recruited by them.
  14. Maybe Tommy isn't a great QB because he is not that tall... He is 6 foot trying to throw behind 6'4 offensive lineman and that is hard to do. It would also explain why he throws better outside of the pocket.. Another reason could be he predetermines who he is throwing the ball to before he hikes the ball. So when he thinks Westy will be open he throws his way because he can't see. Besides this I don't know why Tommy threw this many picks during the year, but I don't know how we win 8 plus games next year throwing three pics a game.
  15. We need to make free throws down the stretch but nice win! We came to play in Brooklyn and next up a really good Miami team at PBA.
  16. 215lbs not 250lbs. However he has the frame to put on 20-30 lbs. He wouldn't stay at TE then, would he?6'8 235 TE with his hands and ability to move sounds great to me.I like the idea of converting him to an OT, with him playing tight end his feet are probably pretty good, which is essential at tackleWhat weight do you think we'd have to get him to for OT? 280?Yeah that'd be a good start. Redshirt him and build healthy weight, could work.My amateur opinion doesn't think he has an OT body. But some people know better then I. Just really think he could be a weapon at TE.Taking an athletic 6'8 kid with hands and converting him to OL just sounds like a waste of potential, IMO. He puts on 20-30lbs, he'd be nearly impossible for any college LB to defend. (Jimmy Graham is 6'7 265) Anyone know if we have offered him a walk on? I think he passes the eyeball test as a TE and 6'8 size with those hands doesn't happen every year.
  17. Greatest fans in college football my ass. You guys sicken me. I'm definitely not the greatest fan. I cheer for Nebraska through thick and thin, but I have had enough with a player who isn't smart enough to understand that throwing off his back foot makes him a less efficient QB. I hope the best for Tommy as he bleeds Husker Red, but time for the coaching staff to move on.Throwing off his back foot doesn't make him stupid. Much like being able to type doesn't make you intelligent.I never said "stupid." I said not smart enough to be a good quarterback. I found waldo. Tommy will probably start next year, but he needs to find a rhythm and get out of this funk he is in. I think if he doesn't Patrick Obrien will be waiting to take his place midseason. Tommy looked alright at the beginning of the season and had mental lapses that led to numerous interceptions. After he came back from that injury he was not the same, he has thrown 9 interceptions since he came back from injury and threw seven before that. Tommy will be Tommy but I wish the kid the best and hope he does great things in the future.
  18. Patrick Obrien may be a really good QB and lots of great QB's have started as freshman. Brad Kaaya started last year as a true frosh, I don't know Miami's situation at QB last year but we could use a QB that can complete 60 percent plus passes. Even better we might need a QB who can throw the ball away when he needs to. 3 areas how TA could improve 1 Decision making- obvious one here, everyone knows he needs to make better decisions every announcer says he needs to, also throw the ball away if need be 2 Mechanics- way too many throws off his back foot and he just looked confused on the field today 3 Don't lock on to primary receiver- He needs to look to check downs and find his TEs and third options. Carter was wide open and having a great game on that fourth down play, why not throw him the ball? I don't know who will start next year but if TA does not improve those three things Patrick Obrien will start over him mid-season. Edit: I learned that we need to have better QB play and better game management to win more close games.
  19. He loved the visit. Plus coaches were at his school Friday. His coaches raved about Nebraska coaching staff. Harvey predicts he is in. If we get Desmond do we get his friend (Reese?) as well or do you think we only get Fitzpatrick?
  20. He is ours to lose. I take this guy over Deshaun Blair a few years ago who took U of Louisville over the huskers. Don't have any confirmation we are in the lead but that is how it sounds like because this guy loves coach williams
  21. Lots of people at OSU want Beck fired. It seems everywhere he goes people want him gone. I doubt Beck will be gone because they are most likely going to a New Years six bow. I thought MSU controlled the game kind of like what we did to them a few weeks back controlled the LOS. It was fun to see the MSU kicker make two field goals at the end as one went in after Urban called a timeout. MSU has been a part of three college gamedays this year and they are 3-0 and undefeated when gameday is at the game MSU is playing.
  22. This would be awesome gameday hasn't been here since USC a while back. I am not sure but I thought Gameday was a Saturday only show. I hope I am wrong though because the crew needs to come to Lincoln! Even Reese Davis said he wanted to come here so this is the last chance this season they could come.
  23. Colin Cowherd picked us to beat Iowa and if we win we are going bowling. Iowa looks beatable and the weather could be a factor, but if we can run the ball like we did against Mich. State the huskers should come out with a W.
  24. We need to stop putting a lid on the basket!. Turnovers and bad shots with bad defense has allowed Delaware State to get back into this game. This team needs to score with more consistency because we can't allow teams to make runs on us they made a 21-0 run and that is inexcusable. The reason is we settle and we don't give ourselves a chance to score and this needs to be addressed at practice to attack instead of settle when other teams get on a run.
  25. Why is Banker going to see KJJ and not Keith Willliams? Is it because he is just out in Cali or does Banker have a good relationship with KJJ?
