Kid has athletic gifts for sure--work ethic I'm not sure about, everything has come pretty easy for him in his life. Could be a D1 Tackle imo but never could give up handling the ball. Probably best if he pursues bball but he didn't have near the year most thought he would. I would guess he lands up north with Hagedorn. you seem to know a lot about him. I used to teach a Norfolk public. Strom was only a 6th grader when I stopped teaching so I don't really know him. A friend that still teaches there doesn't really care for any of the Jr's on the team says they are a real arrogant bunch. He says that Matt Hagadorn is going to be better and most likely bigger than his brother. I'm friends with a couple of the juniors on the team, I will admit that a couple of them are cocky. But when it comes to sports with Strom, he will work harder than almost anyone I know. He wants to succeed. Not sure how much Mary Pats knows about him but I can tell you that I wouldn't guess that he ends up playing with Hagedorn again. Differing points of view as I am a father not a peer. Logan works hard at being funny not getting bigger, faster, stronger. This basketball season was super disappointing, had all those Juniors been working hard Lane wouldn't have to get pissed and take over the last 5 minutes to win the games that shouldn't have been that close. Don't get me wrong, they are all good kids but they could be so much better. Logan should be dominating and he is not!

Meh. A&M has issues no matter to us. Doubt we and OU covet the same coaches at this juncture. Big hire though, shouldn't have f'd it up the first time.

Oh no. There have been several I believe. Kevin Raemaekers back in about 1990 comes to mind. And Bill LaFleur.

Stille is ranked higher but I would call them pretty even players. David has proven to be very versatile though not sure if Ben has been used that way.

I've seen the kid play several times. Absolute beast in class C1. Speed is my only concern. Not slow but might look slow compared say to Cethan Carter. Comes from as good of fb program and coaching as you will find in Nebraska. Bellar can flat out win every year. In a town of 24k with 3 schools. Many titles, and much better than say a Dusty Keiser. I would call him a more physical specimen than Matt Herian just not as quick.

What level do you coach at.... Probably the same as you. Seeing as this is a message board, 95 percent of the posters are not involved in coaching and are just fans who want to see this team do well. If I was bashing a coach who had success this year or in general, I could see your comment having some merit. But since you are probably some division one coach, lets hear your actual insight. And next time use a question mark, those periods make you look like a junior high girl texting her bff.Nope just a fan. You are bashing a coach that had success. Typically when you see a good run defense you think line and when you see a good pass defense you think DB's - now we know it takes both, however I would say that our run defense was pretty good this year compared to the guy that new how to defend against the run last year. It's not perfect however headed in the correct direction.Headed in the right direction? After one year which had its ups and downs, it is tough to determine the direction of the defense and the d-line. How many sacks did the defensive line have? How much pressure did they get on the QB? Did defenses pass more than they ran against us due to our deficiencies in that area? It is too early to know, and people can easily use the "these are pelini's recruits" argument, but I am more concerned with recruiting, not on-field production. It's tough to stop the run when you don't have any big bodies. It's about the Jimmies and the Joes. You can have the best system in place but if you don't have the players what are you supposed to do? The DE and OT position groups are laughable how is that Rileys fault? It's all about how you look at things. Pelini's pass defense was much better with similar players. It comes down to perspective and we all have our opinions to go either way with it. Bo used the safeties in pass def. & Banker uses them in run defense. Thus, this we are better in rush defense and worse in pass defense. That's the popular version of the story but it's not true. That is how we started the year. Banker switched it up starting with the Michigan St. It's patently false that Pelini didn't use the safeties in run defense. I mean, he tried, but... wait, what was that? Oh, sorry, that was the sound of Stafford whiffing again. +1Goddamn was he bad
