  1. Good thing about having a historically crappy basketball program is that we are not caught up in this paying players scandal, as it seems every blue blood program is in the latest yahoo story.

Guys--this is the FBI looking into this s**t, not the NCAA. Last time I checked PMITA prison isn't something the NCAA can hand down as punishment, and people are already singing to them. This is gonna get big, it's gonna take big names (like Izzo) down, and we're probably gonna see a lot of the top tier talent immediately up and leave NCAA Basketball overnight for the the pros.

The upside to all this is that since our guys weren't projected to be top-tier NBA talent just yet, none of them have been on the dole. This means when Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, and/or Purdue lose their talent, we'll be projected to be one of the top teams in the B1G next season! :D

@VectorVictor, I know the FBI is investigating but the NCAA will react to it and deal with the schools listed in the report. Judging the list of schools and names involved, the NCAA won't do much.

Why are you lumping in Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue in this. I haven't seen any of those schools or coaches implicated. If this were football, I would be a little more worried for schools like OSU and Michigan.

Because the list pretty much had just about all of the first few rounds of draft picks for the NBA on it, and those teams likely have at least one key player that is a high-round draft pick this year.
