  1. I'm not saying Wisconsin isn't a good team, but they aren't the unstoppable force that a lot of people on here make them out to be. The NU game against them was a 50-50 game. It wouldn't have been a huge upset that some want to say on here. Who has made them an unstoppable force? I don't think anyone has?
  2. I am so happy for Ryker and his family. I know his dad from back in the day and knew Ryker when he was 4 or 5 years old. After the Purdue debacle last year (which wasn't total his fault), it was good to see him go out with a win at home. Toss in the Foltz situation, it was great to see him play that way yesterday.
  3. I can't imagine what Ryker is going through. First home start on senior day as well as another emotional goodbye to his high school teammate.
  4. We're rolling with Fyfe today. I don't fully believe it, but I've also heard from a couple different places that Darlington might be used in a wildcat role.
  5. This is going to end with The ConAgra I Love America Trophy presented by Target, isn't it?
  6. He (or his team... Bannon?) are being somewhat smart here. Pick a fight with Hamilton to get the media to focus on that instead of that he settled a $25M lawsuit for defrauding people
  7. This left wing political correctness movement has to st... oh wait
  8. What's the word for this? Pay to play? Remember when that was a big issue for one candidate?
  9. The university admins on both sides that squashed this are enemies of fun.
  10. Gotta do something with those big stacks of cash coming in form the B1G
  11. Look on the bright side, at least he didn't get named as head of the EPA. Pompeo rejects the scientific consensus on climate change.[24] In 2013, he said, "There are scientists who think lots of different things about climate change. There's some who think we're warming, there's some who think we’re cooling, there's some who think that the last 16 years have shown a pretty stable climate environment."[24] Pompeo has referred to President Obama's environment and climate change plans as "damaging" and "radical".[25] Pompeo opposes the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, and supports eliminating the Environmental Protection Agency's greenhouse gas registry program.[26] He has said that Obama's Clean Power Plan does not provide "any measurable environmental benefit."[25] He signed the Americans for Prosperity's No Climate Tax pledge.[27] He has called for the elimination of wind power production tax credits, calling them an "enormous government handout".[28]
  12. By using the word "Idea" you make it sound like this was well thought out and planned or something. Like we all got together in a conference room and brainstormed for hours. It wasn't, like the video earlier in the thread by BTN it was a joke that came to life. A joke, yes, born from the internet that snowballed into something real and tangible. I can't speak for everyone on this...but I feel like it was OUR bad idea. Yes, I'm not faux or Goldie Gopher, but a trophy born "of just a social media thing" twitter/internet feels like something I'm a part of. Something that ever so vaguely connects the likes of me, a lowly messageboard dweller and twitter poster to the sport and team I love not to mention an entire other fanbase I'm not a part of (Minnesota). I don't know about everyone else but I follow Nebraska and the rest of college football because it's FUN. This trophy couldn't be more fun, official or not. I know it's not an official trophy put together by some marketing team in a giant office building in downtown Chicago. Plastered with a very politically safe softball tertiary nod to everyone's patriotism complete with an official sponsor, but I love this bad idea and would love to see it live on if even in an unofficial capacity between non-university designated people on both sites of the trophy. I would also like the fun loving, self deprecating humorous nature the trophy represents live on too, but that probably won't happen either. But what do I know, I'm just a small part of this "social media thing...".
  13. Even Fox is calling him out on it The Ford Motor Company said late Thursday that it would continue producing its Lincoln MKC SUV at a plant in Kentucky after President-elect Donald Trump incorrectly implied in a tweet that the plant had been close to moving to Mexico. Trump said that Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford had called him with the news "that he will be keeping the Lincoln plant in Kentucky - no Mexico." In a second tweet, Trump said that he had "worked hard with Bill Ford to keep the Lincoln plant in Kentucky. I owed it to the great state of Kentucky for their confidence in me!" Ford had planned to move the Lincoln MKC out of an assembly factory in Louisville so it could make more Ford Escapes there. Despite the implication of Trump's tweet, Reuters reported that Ford cannot close any U.S. plant until 2019 at the earliest under the terms of its collective bargaining agreement with the United Automobile Workers union (UAW).

  15. Maybe we should also be tweeting/emailing the local media about this? McKewon, Chatelin, Shatel, Sipple, Christopherson, Rosenthal, Callahan, Benning, Severe This would be a good story for Matthew Hansen of the OWH as well...
  16. Still waiting to hear what these bad things are..... Just a rumor that all parties involved with the chair may not be on board with it. I know that's vague, but I'm not at liberty to say any more. Doe$n't $urpri$e me. It doe$n't have any ¢orporate tie-in$ to make money of off, $o the admini$tration i$ again$t it. Plu$ it wa$n't their idea, which I'm $ure al$o pi$$ed them off. I'm sure we at HB (and toss in GopherHole.com) can come up with some scratch to sponsor it. I'm in for $20.
