I was always under the impression that field (and astro) turf was way cheaper than natural grass over a 10ish year period. It seems like most large high schools have field turf now. Pittsburgh is a glaring example here. By mid November, Heinz Field is always chewed up.

I have been reading about it a lot the last few days. The article does cover some of their failures. Was every decision on the up and up? Probably not. But I see people mention "slush fund" or a "Ponzi scheme". I don't believe that to be true at all. It seems that it is a victim of the R smear campaign against the Clintons going back to the 90s. It gets an A rating, pays out 88% of donations as charity, and on average spends $2 to raise $100. And it actually helps hundreds of millions of people:

NW defense might be a little stingy. They are only giving up 14 points/game and less than 400 yards/game. Sam M and Jon N on their podcast thought that a "good" offensive performance might be 28 points. And if we only get ~28 points, then a blowout might not be in the cards.

9-3 probably means we don't win the West, as we would be 6-3 in conference, and if 2 of those losses is to Iowa/Wisky, the tiebreakers would not be on our side.
