  1. We used to say that we wanted twins and then we'd be done. After the first week with just 1, we both agreed twins would have been living hell.
  2. Stay near her head. Do not look "down there".
  3. Seeing rumors of turf toe. I really hope that's not true.
  4. Listening to his press conference is gut wrenching.
  5. I would be very surprised if they don't give the job to the DC Clays full time next year. I just can't see the them doing any better than the staff they currently have.
  6. Really? You don't know why he was hired for 5 years?
  7. If he is still visiting, then we have a good chance IMO. Is it his brother or "brother"?
  8. Sounds like its for health reasons. Tons of coaching changes already. Crazy.
  9. We're #1 by far when looking at full recruiting classes between 2012 and 2015. But for whatever reason (attrition, guys just flat not panning out, etc.), the players we are putting the field are basically even to the rest of the division (low to mid 3 stars).
  10. Might be worth merging the last 5 or so posts from here to this thread http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/76153-injury-updates/page-7?
  11. I think we've had Kevin Williams and Kevin Maurice have extensive injuries and miss significant time. Valentine has missed a couple games with injuries, as well. Stoltenburg has been needed at DT, just as much as he would have been needed at DE. Stoltenberg was playing snaps in the 4Q against NW.
  12. No clue about C Jax. K Williams is a safety and I want to say saw the field on D the first couple games, no? Article says that Boaz is injured. Reed is a safety and isn't he huge? Or being talked about as a future LB? Other DBs on the roster: Nolan Graham RsFr Creighton Koley RsFr Anthony Ridder Sr Aaron Williams Fr (is he redshirting or does he play special teams?)
  13. We better hope that Chris Jones can go or we burn the redshirt of either Lee or Anderson? This article is a little confusing as Riley and Banker aren't saying the same thing. The later in the article... https://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1818302
  14. ??? Gangwish got plenty of criticism for that on this board.
  15. So a guy who wouldn't put any money into his flagship sport, a guy that propagated the worst era of football in a few generations, and a guy who many would already like to see canned. Those resumes though. Byrne didn't put any money into football? He did Husker Vision. He got the first stadium expansion. Guys with little to no big time AD experience seem to be working out well across the country. Just look at Pat Haden or Dave Brandon... As for Pederson, he had "Nebraska ties" and was endorsed by Tom Osborne. I said flagship sport, not stadium. Ol' dollar Bill was way too focused on the non-revenue sports. Now while that's great and all, he should have invested more in the football program than he did. I don't see how Husker Vision and skyboxes helped the team on the field. How was he supposed to help the team on the field? Design plays for TO and FS? We won 3 NCs and played for 2 more when he was at UNL. And we came razor close to playing for 2 others.
  16. Was Crick double-teamed as much as Collins in 2010? I don't remember him being constantly double-teamed, but if so, good on him. That's a hell of a season for him. Oh, definitely. If not more. To clarify, I don't think he's a bad player or that he's been a liability for us or anything like that (aside from that penalty - and maybe a few plays like the one Willie pointed out). He's been a steady, serviceable player. But that's about it. Nothing against Crick, but I thought he put up great numbers his junior year because Suh was constantly being double-teamed, so that left Crick with one-on-one blocking at the other DT. I remember Crick having a huge game against Baylor in 2009. I think he had like 4 sacks in that game alone. What were Crick's numbers his senior year in 2010 when he was the main man inside and seeing double-teams. 2010 numbers above are from his junior year w/o Suh. 2011 he got hurt and only played 5 games http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=831184&

  18. If Turner ever catches the ball he might actually do some damage. Allen is pretty much a bust. How long has he been there, 5-6 years now? I also don't get those fly routes down the sideline to Cethan Carter. Yeah, when I want to go vertical, I think Cethan Carter. Similarly, I don't understand Cethan Carter on a screen play. He doesn't have the quickness or cutting ability you usually see from someone on a screen, nor the straight line acceleration. Someone mentioned the injury situation, but I think Allen, and especially Turner, are what they are by this point. Turner has had ample opportunities in his career to make plays and doesn't. Even against Northwestern, where injuries gave him more PT, he dropped passes. After watching some replays, it also appears that he let up on his route that could've been a touchdown catch. It seemed really well designed in the NW game. Sure, he's not a threat to take it the distance, but if that OL makes the block he goes 10+ yards, which IMO is all you can ask for. I think it went 7 or 8 yards the way it was blocked.
  19. So a handful of people have mentioned his "resume" at UNO? What would standout on his resume at UNO that would make him more qualified than 200 other D1 ADs? Or more qualified than 50 other high level assistant ADs at top notch athletic programs? Has he ever managed a budget comparable to UNL? Has he ever been in a department that has a top flight football team? Has he ever fundraised to a level that would allow the type of capital projects that the athletic department at UNL has? FWIW, I have no opinion on why he cut football or wrestling at UNO. Sounds like he made a tough decision. Whatever people think of Byrne, Peterson, or Eichorst, their resumes were 10x better than Trev's when we hired them. They had all been working in athletic administration for years and had big time AD experience (Oregon, Pitt, Miami). If we were to hire a new AD who must have "Nebraska ties", the Greg Byrne at Arizona should be the target.
  20. "F*cking hillbillies." -Bill Callahan Yeah, that guy really was a good fit for Nebraska. At least Cally dropped the f-bomb on our rivals and not our fans. <shrug>
  21. I said this in another thread, but what qualifies Trev Alberts to be AD at Nebraska? And "he played at Nebraska" doesn't count.
