  1. I have seen estimates as high as 28 guys for this class. If that's the case, then 2 QBs seems like a no brainer to me.
  2. No reason to reference Callahan as "Clownahan" kids.......that ship has sailed. well solich screwed that up with poor recruiting. But i guess that sh#t sailed. But at leadt Solich and Callahan didnt leave before settin the dock on fire. <insert something about Callahan and "burn the boats" here>
  3. An offer to Wilson, but nothing about O'Brien yet? Interesting...
  4. Zero on the field impact. And it means we now only need 2 more guys to leave to get to 85.

  6. real fans sit outside you know.... If it's not a night game, you'll be wanting club seats or a box. It's going to be 90º and humid as hell. I live in Florida, and have done the September games at USF (Tampa),Tallahassee, and Miami. It's awful. When we went to the Wake forest game in 2007, it was maybe 84-85º and in the Husker section everyone was complaining how hot it was and quite a few people had to get medical attention. For my wife and I, it felt great because it was probably 10º cooler and half the humidity. I was at that Wake game. It was hot, humid, and no breeze. And the stadium ran out of water bottles IIRC. I thought that it was fairly similar to a few scorchers that I have been to in late August/early September in Lincoln. The warmest I recall is the 98 La Tech game (aka The Troy Edwards Game). Youre thinking of Akron 1997. Worst ever. That was the day that they were constantly hauling ppl out on stretchers. Fans passing them over their heads cuz the first aid folks literally couldnt get around fast enough. Southern Miss 2012 was quite warm as well. Wyoming 2013 was hot till the sun went down some. But to me, it just seems that nothing tops the memory of Akron 97. And I'm a guy that likes the heat. No. I am thinking La Tech in 98. Temperature: 90 Wind: Calm Weather: Sunny, 52% humidity I remember it because when the game ended, the shade was 1 row in front of me. I was at the Akron 97 game as well, but I don't remember it. It was comparable though. More humid, but a breeze. Temperature: 89 Wind: SE 8 MPH Weather: Fair, 69% Humidity
  7. I just (for some reason) read the article linked above. We are all burying the lead: Imagine the LB depth if he had left?
  8. And we were wondering how we would get to 85 schollys...

  10. I was flipping through the channels and stopped at the Notre Dame game for a few minutes on Saturday. The game wasn't in their stadium, but it looked to be on some practice field with some bleachers put up for it. Not sure what was up with that.
  11. Much of the "stuff that went down" had to do with Pelini believing he was protecting his players (or having their backs if you will) versus a journalist wanting the story........one incident in particular a few years ago. Then there's the separate issue of the administration and their shenanigans.......Perlman, Osborne and Eichorst. In recent weeks, Eichorst has been part of some protection decisions of Riley with the limiting of coach access once the season starts.....and the whole Big Red Breakfast deal. If only we could have un-filtered testimony of how Bo Pelini really felt about his relationship with the fans, the media and the state of Nebraska itself, we might know what it would be like to deal with him on a daily basis. Oh. Wait. Yes....the audio.....old news and my name isn't Tom Shatel or Dirk Chatelain, so I shrugged both shoulders about the whole thing. "It took everything in my power to not say, 'f#*k you, fans. f#*k all of you.' f#*k 'em." "Our crowd. What a bunch of f'ing fair-weather f'ing—they can all kiss my ass out the f'ing door. 'Cause the day is f'ing coming now. We'll see what they can do when I'm f'ing gone. I'm so f'ing pissed off."
  12. Hmmm... Wonder if the traffic from this thread caused them to get his profile up and running? This morning his profile was blank, no picture, no rating, no interests.
  13. Not to be a downer, but I'm always a bit leery of "this is the hardest we've ever worked in the offseason" reports though. It seems every year the workouts are "harder than ever" and the players are "in the best shape of their lives".
  14. Cav's in Georgia today. Who is he visiting? Noland/Laguins? Others?
  15. You forgot Kody Spano you moron. He was gonna be awesome. Until he bumped his leg and had to retire. My mistake. Oh, and throw Brion Carnes on that list as well. I was clamoring all year in 96 for Turman to start over Frost. Hindsights 20/20. I think you mean Frankie London ,not Turman. London wasnt here till 97. Turman was a senior in 96. And after the AZ St debacle, and then Turmans 50+ yard TD run in clean up duty against Baylor on basically his first play in the game, I just thought it was time for a change. It was obvious Frost just wasnt gonna work out....... When was Frost boo'd? I thought it was the Central Florida (Daunte Cullpepper) game? That must have been 97. I stand corrected.
  16. Hmmm... Both 247 and Rivals basically have a blank profile for him.
  17. Multiple I heard his offense takes what they want, not what the defense gives them.

  19. And we should only remember Callahan for is North title and the Michigan bowl win. But not his causing us to miss a bowl game in 2 of his 4 seasons or 70-10 or "f'n hillbillies" or "crusty old f". And we should only remember Solich for him winning the Big 12 in 99. But not for 62-36 or 7-7. Gotcha.
