  1. I am excited for Jim Harbaugh vs. Sean Payton. It's going to be the Petty Bowl twice a season and great theater from two good coaches.
  2. Nice to get a win but the team was clobbered on the glass, mind numbing turnovers, and it was at home so they haven't won on the road. Big take is they are the better team that beat Purdue.
  3. Yep, Kliff Kingsbury bought a 1-way ticket to Thailand to...ummm....release some stress after he was let go by Arizona.
  4. Rutgers is a great opportunity to beat a Big Ten team on the road. Need a few of those to enhance tourney prospects. Do people think Dirk Chatelain is correct and 22 wins is the finish line to get there?
  5. Well Ryan Grubb is available. Divert to Lincoln instead of Tuscaloosa? He's got a better QB to mold in the Cornhusker state.
  6. We will see if Reggie is doing the 14+ hour days that Nick was doing at age 72. Until then he should just keep his mouth shut.
  7. I can't believe it is a debate for anyone anymore. Nick Saban is the greatest coach in college football history. It's incredibly difficult to win a national title and he has 7 of them. How many consecutive classes at Alabama could say they won a national title in their 4 or 5 year stint at the school? It's a ridiculous number. Even the Bear Bryant diehards have said he's #2 behind Nick. We won't know how many T.O. might have had if he coached to age 72 but consistent excellent for a lot of years is part of the evaluation. Nick is #1
  8. That's a good win. Winning on the road in Madison would be another big step.
  9. At least he didn't say Nebraska University I guess but yeah....Storrs, CT and Seattle, WA are both a long way from Lincoln, NE
  10. Clemson screams SEC culture to me. Florida State and Miami makes more sense. I remember Jim Delany was kicking the tires on UNC and UVA was rumored.
  11. Do you remember Lane Train's pointed comments about UGA's number of 5 stars after Ole Miss was blown out by them? Pointed declaration to step up NIL and acquire talent.
  12. Well I'm a longtime Saints fan and Taysom Hill has been very effective in New Orleans. Especially under Sean Payton who is a much better coach than Dennis Allen but I digress. Heinrich as Lincoln's Taysom Hill I could get excited about. Tanner Mangum was the guy that 'Husker fans would cringe a bit about.
  13. Probably still would have lost to Texas Tech. Mike Leach owned Bo Pelini. However, they wouldn't have lost dumb games to ISU with 8 turnovers. 11-1 would be in contention.
  14. I think they went 12 so the Group of 5 gets an opportunity to possibly prevent legal issues.
  15. Well they might welcome him. Mike Leach absolutely owned Bo Pelini
  16. QAnon slogan guy. All I am saying is he was more lucky than good with where the football went after the fumble. Doing it against a bad Lobos team helps.
  17. I believe that. Vikings fans are the most miserable people on Twitter/X. It's either football trauma or 7 months of winter. Maybe both. That and was darn lucky on a fumbled snap.
  18. I don't really understand it either other than Yormark likes Gonzaga and he wants to bid out the football and basketball separately. Last I had read quite a few Big XII schools were pretty lukewarm on the idea of adding Gonzaga.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if Chadwell ends up in Starkville at Mississippi State.
  20. I think it also bears out how those flashy Oregon speed and tempo teams under Chip Kelly ran into big physical SEC DL and were stopped.
  21. Al Golden? If he is on the list a guy like Dan Mullen should be. IMO White is a tertiary candidate at this time. He has another good year and then it's time to worry. The former Mizzou coach, turned UNLV reclamation candidate Odom will be a hot commodity if he can duplicate this season another year. Their OC does a lot of creative things with the run game.
  22. This subject is beating a dead horse. I was hoping it would be gone for good. A Nebraska return to the Big XII is never happening. Those days have come and gone and lots of teams have moved on since then. The only thing the Big XII has over the Big Ten is more road games to drive to. That's it. The Big Ten is superior in every other category or metric you want to use. In fact, if the choice for some reason in a hypothetical where the Big Ten wasn't available and Nebraska is asked to join the SEC or the Big XII I would choose the SEC. Big XII is old news like Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather.
  23. Yep, maybe a healthy raise keeps him around a bit longer but he will get an opportunity somewhere soon, much like Ryan Walters did.
  24. I was always partial to this due to a lot of energy.....
