Nah I am not giving up on the game against Colorado. Deion is also a first year coach going from FCS to P5. Rhule at least has some experience at a P5 school. Also Colorado was a bigger trash fire than Nebraska on the field and with so many new players in Boulder it will take time to get it figured out.

I imagine recruiting was difficult at times the first year. I mean convincing the parents of players that the culture had changed after taking out the trash of Ken Starr and Art Briles covering up sexual assaults on campus. That school already the stench of Dave Bliss and murder prior.

Cale Gundy? Saw a tweet earlier about Tulsa being behind Nebraska in seeking out position coaches for Wilson's staff. I think Gundy should have to meet Ernie Chambers and have a good discussion before approval though.

Now I hope it gets to the point that it is home games of the better seed on campus until the semi-finals. Campus environment is better for the fans.

There were rumblings that Lane was upset with attendance and NIL money in Oxford. The one thing I think why Lincoln would appeal to Lane other than the NIL money and the fan base is the challenge to a high achiever of getting a blue blood back right. He would be immortal if he was able to.

Texas A&M never won in the Big XII and hasn't won in the SEC. I'd say it's the biggest underachieving program with the resources they have. Sirr Parker dethroning K-State's dream season and Manziel-Evans attention. That's really it for the program in recent history. Might have an oil well in College Station but it is a dry hole for football sucsess. R.C. Slocum was pretty darn good years ago and they haven't really topped it.

Auburn is closer to Ole Miss and Mississippi State than Alabama. Meaning rural middle-of-the-pack school ahead of Vanderbilt but below LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama for sure in the pecking order. Always be second fiddle in the state. It's a mediocre football school with unreasonable expectations. If they didn't allow Coach Harsin to pick out his own assistants it's an even bigger joke than I thought it was. Barners are delusional.

I'd be happy with Dr. Tom not forcing Coach Pelini to take Watson and Gilmore. Might have had a functional offense to go with an all-time defense in '09 and changed the trajectory of the program.

Sometimes that was fun. Embarrassing Colorado with all those trick plays was quite entertaining.

With divisions going away in the near future or adding USC and UCLA to it, I think this matters less.

I'm going to guess coaches will still advocate for them as 3 tomato cans is easier to make a bowl and less risk of getting fired. If it does become two conferences controlling everything, Big Ten and SEC, I would think they would both be comfortable playing 9. Could someone sell the SEC on playing 10? I don't know.

Wholeheartedly agree. NIL is a big benefit to Nebraska's deep pockets as an advantage. I hope more Nebraska fans embrace the change because it will help the school get back to winning. A lot of player payments happened prior across the CFB landscape it just wasn't legal.

Money is too great to eliminate it but I would do away with the conference title game right away and expand the Playoff to 12 teams.

I think it's more likely they would play more cupcakes and tomato cans in the non-conference season. 4 games against Prairie View A&M, Georgia State, Incarnate Word, and North Alabama.

Look at what Rob Manfred and the MLB owners are doing. IMO it's naïveté to think a business cares much about the consumer and altruism in general. It's about maximizing revenue and not being concerned about running over anyone that gets in the way.
