Pretty bummed/sad today. A local HS senior girl was hit and killed by a train in her SUV Tuesday night. My daughter had played softball and 3 years of club volleyball with her. We found out out of the blue while watching the news last night. Quite the gut punch.

  Yeah, it's hitting us pretty hard. It's bad enough when it's a young person but when you know them and have been close and you have a daughter the same age...
  
  Plus this one is a bit angering. Another teenage boy was killed at the same crossing almost exactly one year ago. It's on a fairly busy road in a small town and it doesn't have crossing arms or lights. I've been through there a few times and it's hard to see up the tracks. There is no reason that crossing shouldn't have had arms installed a long time ago.
