Mine had no support after the form was removed (I had some cracking along the edges over time), but if you're leaving it in a steel frame it should be fine. Staining it is really easy, just try not to let puddles sit on it or you'll get darker spots. And once it's been in the sun for a year or so, the stain will fade but will be more uniform in color (or at least that's what mine did). I poured mine right where the table was going to be, so I didn't need to move it.

Why didn't you use concrete coloring pigment? Does it give a different look than staining?
