Preferred alternative turkey cooking method? Smoked or fried?

@Mike Mcdee I've always smoked with a traditional wood fired smoker. I would think the temps used would still be the same for a pellet grill, especially a GMG that has such precise temp control. I'd recommend going at 225-250 to shorten that smoke time. Turkey will pick up smoke fast and cooking slower isn't going to make it any more tender like it does with pork. No sense making it into a long ordeal. You should be able to smoke a 12 pound bird in 4-5 hours. Anyway that's what I would do.
