Moiraine- I have to agree with the others, use it all. They would probably think you were strange if you didn't. In 16 years of owning my own business, I've had one employee leave one sick day on the table.....once. Every other single personal day, sick day, vacation day, safety day, you name it has gotten used. As far as when to put in for time off etc., just ask some coworkers after you start work. The thing I wouldn't do is ask much about PTO from your boss or higher ups the first week or two. That might send the wrong message. Congrats on the job btw.

That makes some sense. I really can't stand anything any of those guys write. Cavanaugh's articles are always so short, superficial, and just pretty much not well written. There are a dozen plus posters on HB that write much better stuff just for sh#ts and giggles. Those articles are that guys job.....at least I think they're supposed to be.

DONU is not being used to entice recruits. Hell most UNL graduates wouldn't even know what stands for. I went back in the early 80's and just figured out what donu meant a few months ago. It probably gets used on this message board more than anyplace else. I wouldn't worry about the terms being outdated and not applicable to today's youth. It is from an old song, and as such it has a place in our history. It's okay. Not everything has to be bright shiny and new. Recruits aren't seeing this and thinking NU is a square place. Golly gee willickers.

Which posters immediately threw JW under the bus? So far in this thread on HB, I have pretty much been the only one offering the benefit of the doubt to Peyton and I don't recall ever making any comments once on on the JW thing. So, I'm curious who you are speaking of while alluding to race being a possible issue.

Exactly. Virtually any case or accusation like this would seem the same way without being presented with the opposing side's version. Like I said, it wouldn't appear to be favoring Manning at this juncture but I just have trouble believing that someone who has appeared to be such a class act for such a long time could've been involved with or done such things. I'm sure we'll be seeing more on this.

That sure doesn't sound good for Peyton and the Manning family. But, I would have to see and hear the other side of the story before believing this version 100%. Something just doesn't feel right about this. It appears to be such a slam dunk deal yet it has been kept under wraps forever. Makes me wonder how and why this hasn't surfaced before now. I'm a bit skeptical.

I think these "most googled" lists are BS. I've seen a few of them now and they have some of the stupidest sh#t on them and none of the states ever have the same item listed. I mean c'mon, who searches for couples yoga or edible underwear in numbers that would deem them the most searched? I call BS.

Interesting. Back when Wade was the DC for the Broncos the first time around, the Broncos used to hold their training camp in Greeley. We partied with Wade and few other guys from the Broncos more than a few times. Wade's a really nice guy. My wife danced with him and we bought them too many drinks. Ah the good ole days.

Assuming 100 on campus + 25 support staff (prolly way under there)...rooming 2 to a room w/ coaches going solo.... Round Trip Charter: $40,000-$50,000 Rooms @ $225/ for 8 nights: $135,000 Feeding a bunch of fat guys: $30,000 ... North of $200k....so like 20% of our recruiting budget. Hmmm...better land some big fish w/ that. Nothing some required donations from season ticket holders can't handle. If money for this type of thing is a concern for Nebraska, it's a concern for all teams. We might not be top of the heap but we're a far ways from the bottom.

Thought the same thing. We should do one every year, rotate the sites between California, Texas, Alabama and Ohio. If you're gonna do it, do it big. I agree. Would be a great way to help begin to balance out the inherent advantages of those SEC warm weather teams. It's no wonder they're whining, it would help level the field for us northern teams. Nebraska should definitely be doing this.

I'm curious, why would you like to think it hasn't happened here? A few posts back you were sticking up for cheating like there was nothing wrong with it. What changed?
