  1. say what you want about Mark May, but my goodness I would take May and Holtz on College football final over the guys they have on that show now.
  2. All I saw was BYU/Nebraska, thankfully it went cornhuskers way this time.
  3. The 4th and 9 with what? 3:30 left in the game was absolutely huge. That is Riley knowing his opponent.
  4. What I learned. Nebraska has improved since last year. Nebraska makes halftime adjustments Nebraska is heading in the right direction. These players are having fun. These players are confident in themselves and the system. Nebraska won!
  5. These decisions were absolutely bonheaded and really changed the entire game. You keep going for one after you go up 8-0, and suddenly halftime is 22-14, which creates a much different dynamic and issue for Nebraska on their come back. Then of course in the end it gets you to 36 points to Nebraska's 35. But I won't complain about Oregon's arrogance, it is what got their program to their highest heights, and now appears to be a problem.
  6. Yeah they were bad, they missed every block in the back when Oregon ran to the outside.
  7. Yeah absolute warrior. He definitely has a winners mindset.
  8. If anyone has followed Oregon football in the last decade you realize how rare it is that a team comes back from being down 20-7 and win. Usually at that point, Oregon gets all the momentum and turns on the jets and buries you. Maybe the most refreshing thing about this game was Riley's decisions. From going for it on 4th down early, and then late in the game on that 4th and 9. He knew exactly what type of decisions needed to be made to win this game vs Oregon.
  9. Will be going to some breakfast place soon to get pancakes with sprinkles on them for the whole family. GBR!!!
  10. I am sure everyone in that final few plays saw flashbacks of BYU/Nebraska. This time we finished. Great job Cornhuskers!
  11. I will have more to post in this thread later, but at this time my emotions are so high I don't think I have the hand muscle coordination to type it all. I will get this out there though, although I was extremely skeptical and critical of Coach Riley and his staff last season, I can't thank him enough for what he has done so far this season. The entire team looks improved, and the future looks extremely bright with incoming recruits. Not to mention how big of a recruiting weekend this probably was, and those guys who visited probably loved the environment, not to mention Lincoln is probably the most fun place to be right now. Thank you coach Mike Riley for proving me wrong. GO BIG RED!!!
  12. HOORAY!!!!! wasn't it 10 hip hip hooray's last year when we beat michigan state? This is easily 20 hip hip hoorays!!!!!!
  13. This team should be undefeated going into Wisconsin week, and after today seeing Wisky's game the Badgers are beatable. Meaning Nebraska could be setting up for huge implications vs Ohio State.
  14. Unbelievable opportunities to win this game. Just countless opportunities to win. This is why I would have preferred a blow out. At least you dont go back to each and every blown opportunity on how you could have won.
  15. Not stopping them on 3rd and 26 up 28-20 killed us.
  16. Hope Tommy is OK and we can put together a TD driver. Otherwise I think Oregon might have this one.
  17. Well this sucks, because we should win this game. I think we have played really well and it will come down to a mistake or two. Dang it.
  18. To win this game we must commit no more turnovers, force a turnover on Oregon, capitalize off all Oregon mistakes or failed scoring possesions.
  19. For the second half I would LOVE to see Tommy Armstrong make plays with his legs. Guy needs to roll out and run the football. oregon is bringing pressure and forcing him to pass, we need to utilitze his speed and legs to make plays.
  20. I will be elated if we can come out in the second half and score a TD to take the lead. So far this year Nebraska has shown to be a second half team, but Oregon has been a second half team for the past decade. These guys can turn the burners on quick in the second half.
  21. Does this fall on them? Does this fall on the Offensive line unable to win in the trenches? Does this fall on lack of run play calling?
