  1. Rival or no Rival....I want Iowa to get a beat down on Friday to put them in their place. Went to college at Wayne State which had many Squak fans. Have too many "friends" that I'd have to listen to for the next year.
  2. No. Not sure where this arbitrary 35-year line comes from, but in that 35 years Nebraska has had: More wins than any other school in D1A 16 Top-Ten finishes (AP) Three National Championships 12 Conference championships 50 All-Americans 2 Heisman Trophy winners 1 Maxwell Award winner 2 Walter Camp Award winners 7 Outland Trophy winners 4 Lombardi award winners 1 winner each of the Butkus, O'Brien, Unitas, Rimington, Nagurski and Bednarik awards Plus another 50 or more finalists for various of these awards This is not comparable to Iowa during that span in any way. Saying so does not make Nebraska Fan "snobbish," which is a bizarre allegation that sounds more like hurt feelings than facts. Over the past ten years, Nebraska's worst stretch since the Devaney Era, the teams are more similar, with Iowa holding an advantage with one conference title to Nebraska's zero. Those records: Year NE W NE L IA W IA L 2006 9 5 6 7 2007 5 7 6 6 2008 9 4 9 4 2009 10 4 11 2 2010 10 4 8 5 2011 9 4 7 6 2012 10 4 4 8 2013 9 4 8 5 2014 9 4 7 6 2015 5 6 11 0 85 46 78 49 Percentage: .649 .611 Still, Nebraska has more 10-win seasons than Iowa, even amidst the most terrible of eras. Amen........Iowa doesn't even come close to those
  3. You think Iowa is an equal program to Nebraska?
  4. Whether you're a Bo lover or a Mike Riley hater or vice versa on both. We have the undefeated Iowa Squaks coming to town! It's finally time to let bygones be bygones and come together and rally behind this team and show our neighbors to the east what happens when little brother tries to step up to the plate GBR
  5. While also losing to Purdue and Illinois. Crap happens when you are building a team,,get over it.Crap like terrible game management and game plans? You act like we weren't getting this from the previous staff
  6. Does anyone think having back a healthy MRI would be huge against the style of football that Iowa plays? He balled against them his freshman year
  7. I didn't get to watch the game but coaches can't call time outs now if that makes any difference. I think they still can but only at certain times of the game...not live action like when a guy is diving on a ball Can't call a timeout when the ball is in play. Only after fouls or when the ball isn't in play
  8. This can't be from MR he's a .500 coach.....must be the old staff still coaching them up
  9. Nathan Enderle, who we picked off 5 times in 2010 An addition to the Pelini QB graveyard for sure, but he did good things for Idaho. But, he was a statue QB, not something that would have worked at NU under Beck, who liked more mobile QB's. 74 TDs/ 60 INTs. People aren't happy with Martinez at 56/29 and Armstrong 52/32. Yeah, we really missed the boat on this guy.Theres no way either Martinez or Armstrong throw for 74 TD at Idaho. Think about their receivers and defensive situation.http://m.govandals.com/mobile/ViewArticle.dbml?atclid=1088440&DB_OEM_ID=17100&Excuse me for thinking highly of a Nebraska kid. Well better look at their competition while you're at it. Was he an "ok" player sure. Would he done anything at NU most likely not
  10. Can put a lot more names under the "gave" a scholarship to a local kid who never produced compared to the ones who go on to produce at other schools
  11. I'll be at the Iowa game loud and proud! The thought of ruining Iowa's perfect season
  12. One game at a time baby! Rutgers you're in the way
  13. I knew what people would answer, I guess I just needed the confirmation. I think people have a negative bias against Bo (which I am not saying it isn't deserved) and they want Riley & NU to win so they want to have hope from this "big win" against Michigan State. Don't get me wrong, I was cheering for the win against NU at home with my family, and we had a huge cheer when NU pulled off the W. However, after the recency bias wears off, I am still very concerned about what happened in the debacle losses that have occurred this year. Just as Bo's performance in "big games" concerned me, Riley's performance in "non-big games" concern me. Except Bo's losses were still coming in year 7. This is still Riley's first year
  14. The Purdue game was an absolute embarrassment. I would say Wisconsin last year was muchhhhh worse
  15. Wow....Bailing out the coaches?? I thought it was a pretty solid game plan
  16. HAHA I didn't think I'd find you in a thread like this....but of course you're still finding a way to trash the season even after a B1G win like that
  17. 3-9 is absolutely needed for some fans, like the count. The amount of ego that certain fans tie into the football program is beyond ridiculous. That ego needs a beating. However, it happened before, and it didn't seem to do any good then. So, maybe there's just no hope for certain fans. OTH, I feel bad for the players recruited under the previous HC during a season like this. I totally agree. I feel bad for some of the players that have to endure a down year like this, of course they too attribute to that down year. But some Husker fans need a serious beat down on their entitlement and "holier than thou" mentality. There's actually radio show hosts and fans talking about this game Saturday, saying if we win, no way should we rush the field. "Act like you've been there" they say. "We're better than that"! The hell we are. We aren't better than anybody right now. We are right on par with the same teams that storm the field when they beat us. We haven't been overwhelmingly better than the in a long time. Sure we've won a lot of games, more than we have this year, but I've seen nothing on the field that spreads us from the pack aside from a kid named Ameer Abdullah and Ndamukong Suh if you want to go back further. If we win Saturday, hell yes storm that field students. Enjoy the highs when you can. This should be fun. Stop getting so low with the lows. What good does it do. We'll be back someday. I guarantee it. Thanks to some pouty entitled asshat, I'm sitting in their seat Saturday night. Got em cheap! Me and my daughter will enjoy it I promise! But not based on talent. Fact is, NU has equal talent, at least, to MSU. Now, do we have equal coaching? That's a different question all together. Based off of what? Talent that came in as high schoolers and hasn't progressed? The methodologies that people wanted to point to when they tried to claim Purdue had equal talent to NU. But I generally agree there has been an issue with a lack of progress since January 2015. Come on Bo you're not fooling anyone anymore.......Only since Jan 2015? How many players can you say came into NU in the last 7 years and steadily improved throughout their time. Feel free to leave out the JUCOs as well. Pretty much all of them that stayed four years and didn't get hurt. Can you name some that didn't? Bump. Are you still trying to find a player that didn't improve? Oh you're being serious about that question?? It'd be much easier to name the ones that got better a much shorter list
