300 yards is probably ambitious but this was mentioned on Unsportsmanlike Conduct today and I think its actually a pretty good point. Starting Fyfe at QB presumably makes the offense simpler. Run more and shorter passes/quicker routes and simplifies it. Doesn't let Langsdorf over think it. Thoughts?

I hope Tommy plays this weekend and I hope he is healthy both for his sake and for the team. Never wish ill will or injury on anyone. With that having been said what do you think Happens if Ryker comes in and lights it up next week? I'm talking 300+ yards 3TDs and 0INTs. Purdue is terrible. I'm not saying that it is going to happen, but what happens when Tommy comes back presumably the next week against Michigan State? Is this Tommy's job no matter what?

Looking at the depth chart for the Purdue game, he's listed at 6'5 265. That means even on a good day he's giving up 30 lbs minimum to an opposing O-Lineman. Does he just not have the speed to rush from the edge?

Callahan recruited his balls off to Nebraska. His biggest demise was that he refused to let Cosgrove walk. Imagine Nebraska in 2009/10 with Callahan as head coach and Pelini as Defensive Coordinator.

That would fit Riley's style of offense better for when Tommy leaves? Would be nice to get someone in the system with a little bit of collegiate experience rather than have to solely rely on POB to carry the torch from day 1 if he isn't ready.

Right, but this isn't just a Riley issue, this is speaking more to the mentality that was developed before Riley even got here. Look at the recently graduated former players openly mocking the program on twitter during these games. Its ridiculous. Sure, these guys have every right to be disappointed that the coach that recruited them and took care of them while they were at Nebraska is no longer there, however if you were truly playing for the University of Nebraska and not for the coach/yourself then you would be cheering for the team to obtain success. The tweets from guys like Compton and the like are ridiculous and in my opinion relevant to why we're seeing some of the problems that we are seeing.

I'll never cheer for the team to lose but if they went 3-9 and hired Tom Herman it would make me feel a lot better about going 3-9
