In between all the hiring and firing, they played, coached and lost a bunch of games as well as diminish the brand of Nebraska football. Those darn fans and bloggers, always up to no good! Pretty soon those same fans and bloggers will quit packing the stadium every football Saturday as well, and put a nail in the coffin of the final nationally relevant record that Nebraska has. But wait, that hasn't happened yet. Can you explain why? Nebraska hasn't finished as a Top 10 team since 14 years ago - 2001. Most students at NU can't even remember that! Exactly right. Hasn't been a Top 10 program finish since 2001 - that is 14 years ago! Hire some "magic man" coach and suddenly become national champions? Ridiculous. Many other high powered programs are after the same thing - and doing it successfully. The Huskers will have to do it the old fashioned way - earn it! Past days of glory are long gone - too many fans just haven't caught up with that fact.

KU versus Nebraska would be a toss up this year - I would lean toward KU. In case you missed it, ISU hammered KU, in addition to shutting out Texas.

Huskers haven't been considered a good team for years - the fans just haven't come to grips with that yet.

Nebraska jumped from the Big 12 because they knew they could not win there. Now they are losers in a lesser conference.

Huskers have not been a significant team on the college landscape for years. If they were still in THE Big 12 they would be competing with KU to stay out of the cellar.
