  1. Yes and it's part of why Obama fired him and warned Trump that he was a dangerous man. And I think the firing put him into overdrive.
  2. "“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women, You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.” "Let's have trial by combat" "We won the Presidential Election, by a lot. FIGHT FOR IT. Don’t let them take it away!" " Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"" “If the liberal Democrats take the Senate and the White House — and they’re not taking this White House — we’re going to fight like hell" "1776" "“...the only way to save our Republic is for Trump to call for Marshall (sp) law,” Those are words insitgating an insurrection, said by all your friends. You're getting pretty desperate if you think the minority leader making a comment about taking back the house is anywhere near the level of battle cry that the GOP was all on board with just two years ago. Weak trolling.
  3. OMG is Joe Biden a chicken farmer now?
  4. Who is visiting/vacationing in Iran?
  5. Interesting - seems I can't find a publication called Kanekoa News online ..
  6. Not sure if you were posting with sarcasm Teach ... but only about 245k children and teens have Type 1 of about 1.9 million in total who have Type 1. And the number of Srs with Type 1 is higher than the norm, so it's exactly where they needed to start, with limited income and insurance coverage (vs those younger, many who are still employed with better benefits). I haven't seen the whole plan though - are they making adjustments for all at some point?
  7. I don't think you read the article. The state of TX told nobody they were sending busses north. And yes, weather took one bus to DC instead of NY - but still dumped humans at the Naval Observatory instead of a shelter or place that was equipped to handle hundreds of unprepared people coming from warm weather climates with nothing to wear or eat. The leader of the NGO that is trying to assist even said ""If things like this are done in a coordinated and humane manner, it could really be a good option for those border towns that are struggling,". No blue states or officials that I know of are opposed to helping, and the states or cities that these folks are being shipped to have stepped up in amazing ways to assist; imagine what they could do if there was a heads up they were coming? Assuming you're the one that chose to "laugh" at my earlier post, as it seems to be a habit of yours here on the board in response to anything you disagree with. You're a pretty cruel and petty person if your response to a human crisis like this is to laugh.
  8. An NGO is an organization outside the government. So the states on the receiving end are only learning about these shipments of people from volunteers and employees of a group that happens to be on the ground at the time. There is no communication or heads up from the folks who are sending them, there is no organized plan to get them into the care and support of their new states. And you're going to have to help me understand Why you're bragging that most folks knew they where they were going Why you seem to think its a positive that the 60% of people that were trying to go New York - I'm not understanding the reasoning on this as a defense. They were shipped to Washington DC. 60% of people going to NYC ended up in DC. And the other 40% of the people werent heading to NY or DC but were transported to DC. Do you think the government officials that received them initially have any obligation to let other states know that thay're transporting hundreds of people to them? People who have nothing - food, clothing etc? Do you think it's cool to send unprepared people into weather in the teens with no coats/hats/gloves? Immigration is something that needs attention in the US - but this is a stunt by arrogant, thoughtless, power hungry men. These are humans. Not pawns, not cattle, not bananas. People, Human beings who are trying to get away from horrible conditions. Do you think they really wanted to leave their homes, families, careers, and everything they knew to live in the US? Nothing that man wrote in his tweet is wrong. This is a sick stunt.
  9. Well done Mav - top notch thread.
  10. Not sure the best spot to post this but thought it was an interesting read considering the times. https://www.wbur.org/cognoscenti/2022/12/22/missouri-to-massachusetts-gina-kaufmann
  11. Who in the world is Kathia Woods? Are we now to count anyone with a twitter account and a personal opinion as a indication of a cultural thought?
  12. Sorta quiet here from orange guy's supporters ...
  13. BOOM Shakalocka. Happy indictment day everybody!
  14. I read that they already sold out - which means he made more than 5mill on them thus far. And if/when people try to sell them for value a portion of the sale goes to Trump too.
  15. Wait .... someone tried to pick a fight with me on semantics saying that Elon's actions weren't impacting stock because twitter isn't public right now. I saw some interesting thoughts on what may be coming with Tesla's December financials call. And it directly involves using the twitter purchase as a distraction for whats coming ... I think the world is seeing it with all his public sloppiness at Twitter but it may be on full display during an upcoming earnings call that similar to a former leader of the free world, he's maybe not a great business person.
  16. I had something for about that long as well - assuming it was RSV based on who around me was sick. Missed three days of work and I can't recall a time when I've had to do that before. Cough hung around for 3-4 more weeks. Miserable. Hope you're feeling better.
  17. RSV has been prolific, and I know here there are a ton of hospitalizations (adult & kids) with it.
  18. More "science" by one of the representatives of top covid loss state.
  19. It's a Nigerian dish ... assume that Elijah is of that heritage.
  20. Which makes me think of this which was top notch.
  21. One of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching Jr's videos on mute and trying to imagine what he's saying. Wish the guys that do Bad Lip Reading int he NFL would take a stab at this. It would be comedy gold.
