  2. Nope. If that were true, he'd have worked harder at assembling a better staff. Instead he decided he was captain of the Beaver lifeboat. He simply brought his merry band of idiots from Corvallis -- Banker, Read, Langsdorf and Cavanaugh.
  3. He's not that stupid. There's no buyout if he resigns. This 64-year-old gym teacher simply came here for a multimillion dollar retirement package.
  4. To be fair, doesn't it seem like the season is over?
  5. Yeah, Alabama was 2 scholarships over the limit, and suddenly 2 players announce they're transferring. How convenient!
  6. All this does is allow Iowa to schedule Northern Iowa again.
  7. Occam's razor My guess is that Eichorst told Riley on Wednesday that he was getting a new DC and Eichorst then handed Riley the phone.
  8. Well, thank goodness Minnesota didn't steal Riley out from underneath us. That would have been devastating.
  9. Congratulations. I never thought there was anything more pathetic that people who post FlightAware links during head coach searches. That is, until now.
  10. Koresh brainwashing - Players recruited by Pelini are still under mind control and won't buy into anything Riley and staff teach
  11. He'll get us a conference championship, retire, then SE will promote Banker or Langsdorf to head coach 3 days before announcing he's leaving to take the AD vacancy at Wisconsin. When are people going to realize that Alvarez recommended SE to Harvey Perlman because he didn't want that ginger tool anywhere near Madison.
  12. Yes, but Penn State's players weren't contaminated with the Pelini virus. For example, it was so debilitating, that it prevented Nate Gerry from attending classes all semester.
  13. The SEC schools have figured this out. They play conference games earlier, and always schedule a scrimmage non-conference cupcake game the weekend before their end-of-season rivalry games.
  14. Nebraska imposed their own sanctions when they fired two coaches with 70% winning percentages. NU has become such an easy school for others to negatively recruit.
  15. I'm glad Milt Tenopir isn't alive to see this OL play.
  16. And I'm still convinced that Perlman or Eichorst was behind the leaked audio after the 2013 UCLA loss. Create a circus so that they could fire Pelini -- for cause. That's why there was no comment from either of them for days. Then we learned that Osborne already knew of the audio and gave Pelini a positive performance review, which meant the audio couldn't be used to fire Pelini per se.
  17. To be fair... it's nice to see a school hire a coach who wins "the games that matter." Pelini's team will be playing for a National Championship.
