  1. Too bad. There were no other choices. I apologize but voting Johnson is a copout. There was zero chance of him winning and Hillary was clearly the better of two evils. Hindsight is 20/20 especially given the outcome, but even at the time this was evident. I didn't want to vote for Hillary, but I most certainly didn't want the orange man as our leader.
  2. But it would have been better, which is better. Would you rather cut off a finger or an arm? You're basically saying cut off the arm because we will lose the finger either way
  3. It evokes an interesting question. Obviously our system is broken beyond this presidency and while I do think Clinton would be a much better President in a myriad of ways, she has plenty of flaws and those flaws are consistent with alot of the problems people have with government. Is the adversity of Trump better than the complacency of Clinton? I think the current circumstances have forced people to be more politically active and while it has created a divide, I think the energy of the people is ultimately a good thing. It could potentially bring a positive change to government in the long run. On the other hand, Trump could also do irreprable damage to the US's world standing that we don't come back from. Given the chance to do it over I'd still vote Clinton and would likely be more active in getting others to do the same
  4. No one said the refs were for the Warriors but tge fact is they made some bad calls that favored the warriors in game 1 and they made bad calls both ways again last night. I understand it isn't an easy job, but these guys are supposed to be professionals. I expect better in the NBA finals from the officiating crew. I don't think they are for or against anyone, but I don't think they have been doing well.
  5. Being smart on the football field and in the classroom are two very different things.
  6. I don't think thats the case honestly. The show adds a layer of insulation because its not reality. If it was World News obviously that is a different story, but in scripted or semi scripted TV there is alot more leeway for racy comments and jokes than if you were to just be speaking for yourself. Another thing to consider is most of these things would be ran by station execs before ever airing so if something goes wrong responsibility falls on them as well giving them more incentive to defend the show.
  7. That may be true but I don't equate the two situations. Barr tweeted what she said in her personal time in what could easily be interpreted as her actual opinion rather than a joke for entertainment. Bee said what she said on her show as a joke for entertainment. The joke may be in bad taste, but what Rosanne did was way different imo. If what Barr tweeted had been incorperated into her show as a joke I dom't think it would be canceled right now. People may say " man that joke was in poor taste" but I don't think she would recieve the same backlash.
  8. Its not nice language, but isn't Samantha Bee a comedian and the name of her show is 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee'? That doesn't excuse her from saying anything, but I would say the circumstances differ a bit from the Rosanne scenario.
  9. 1.5 years is still alot of time to recharge. I agree its a tired narrative when Lebron played as he has all post season and last night. Fatigue isn't an issue.
  10. No doubt. What an ending to regulation!! JR doing JR things
  11. MJ took a few seasons off as well. Doesn't look too tired tonight though.
  12. But even to that point the best talent is the most recent according to the graph so theoretically this team is positioned well to succee But my point is more that this years 2 data points really have zero correlation. This years recruiting had no effect to on field performance. Really it should correlate the opposite way as in a bad product on the field should result in poor recruiting but luckily we hired Frost and that offset the bad season.
  13. Is recruiting related to performance in that way though? Recruits can't play for you the year they are recruited. We surely underperformed, but the talent is getting better according to recruiting rankings and that should translate into success 2 or 3 years from now.
  14. Ehhhhh, I would say your bigger problem with the opiod epidemic is how are these pills getting out of big pharmas system and on to the black market in the first place. Crypto isn't fueling anything. If they had to use cash they would, this is just better for them.
  15. What if it was both training and bias? What if they are on the lookout for this and the attendent thought that just couldn't be right at the same time? Its the most likely scenario imo. Yall acting like racial bias is bad and we are accussing this attendant of somethimg horrible and she must be defended. Now racial bias isn't a good thing, but it is something that happens in almost everyones subconcious whether they like it or not. Bias was most likely in play here as well as keeping an eye out for a point of focus but I don't think this person should be hung out to dry over it but rather educated by their mistake. We all have bias to some degree, we just have to recognize when it influences us and learn from it.
  16. Just because some teams lose to these schools doesn't mean we aren't significantly more talented.
  17. One thing to consider is what conservatives are we talking about here? If we are talking about supporters of the current GOP, maybe there is a reason for the bias and feeling attacked. If you believe in Fox and our lyin' POTUS, then I really don't have sympathy for you feeling attacked. I have more sympathy for you being duped. To expound, reasonable conservatives on this board such as TG and BRB don't seem to feel under attack or feeling forgotten. Just in disgust of this terrible administation and its hurtful self-serving policies. Im surprised more conservatives out there aren't fed up with their party at this point. I would be embarrased to say these people represent my political views.
  18. Their problem is this victim mentality you detailed throughout your post. Its not about them, but they make it about then
  19. Not really. When he did he threw a shot in about how 'these people stand for the anthem'. Reading his timeline is truly disturbing. I can't believe this is all taking place.
  20. And Republicans think dems are communists. You elected a facist into office, congratulations.
  21. Funny enough yes votes were nullified by the EC in California but it was any vote for donny that was nullified. But if we were under this compact, Hilary would have won.
  22. Aren't Dem votes in Nebraska and Republican votes in California nullified by the electoral college?
  23. Great win by Houston tonight to take control. Man I was convinced we would see a rematch again, but at this point its looking like a completely fresh final
