I don't recognize that number to the left of Nebraska at the bottom. What is that? -
how many times did Peyton Manning or Brett Farve get yanked for throwing INTs?

well if he's turning it over from the bench we have a problem. I don't think he's gonna play. -

what's the over/under for defensive turnover for the Huskers against NIU? The defense has been playing well but still only one turnover by the starting defense. 2? I feel like we'll probably get an INT and the way guys are getting after the QB a strip sack is in short order. -

I smoked weed with Jim McMahon.. or more like Jim McMahon fired up a joint in a wind tent we were both in and he didn't offer me any. -

We didn't have districts. I did become all conference and all-state tho. And ended up playing safety in college. My second tackle in HS was also after an INT in the same game. Maybe that's why I'm not so hard on Sims lol. -

First tackle I made in HS was after I threw and INT. My coach always said if you throw it to them you better make the tackle. -

So out coached. I remember when I was coaching I coached my kids just to wait for unforced turnovers and everything will be alright. -

I kinda felt like this when my friends and teammates didn't experience all the racism the kids I coached (at the same school) experienced. What happened 10 years later at my school with all the same coaches and teachers still there. What might you be doing to put yourself in such predicaments? And no this isn't victim blaming but if you are one of these people that problems seem to follow you might want to re-evaluate your situation -

Aaron Rodgers wears Adidas. I know this because I saw them in numerous replays where he tore his Achilles -
I don't think Danny Dimes is a day one starter so they better start putting some feelers out for potential transfers

oh I know that we would take both in a heartbeat. I just found it odd that Brix was close to announcing his commitment (to whatever school) and then its announced Baker set a visit to Nebraska and now here we are and Brix is still undecided. Maybe he doesn't want to come to Nebraska if Baker does.

who said anything about turning anyone down?

After he commits to Texas we will land Brix

how dare you look on the bright side!!! We are all doom and gloom around here until at least Tuesday afternoon -
probably because his passes aren't near the receiver either.

Marcus Satterfield Hired as Offensive Coordinator
MyBloodIsRed16 replied to Red Five's topic in Husker Football
my only problem is our route combos. I think our best route has been a hook/curl (completion wise) early in the game but then the defense just sits on it later and picks the ball off. I don't feel like Satt schemes guys open. The HH pass play in the MN game was about the only one but that play was shot the second time around when the defense noticed it. Would like to see more rub routes I guess. -

yeah Sim made a bad read on one with Rahmir. he gave it and the middle of the field was completely open. I think Johnson got tackled for like a 12 yard loss -

MN also had guys in the back field. Gabe's long run he bounced off a guy who hit him as soon as he had the ball. I'm not saying they haven't had plays where they have blocked well I"m just saying overall I haven't seen that much improvement. A little more push at times. I've seen multiple times already we let a guy go unblocked so the lineman can get to the second level but they go to the second level and don't block anyone. Have also seen where they are trying to set up a block and take a bad angle and barely touch the defender. I do feel like they will get better as the season goes on tho. -

I don't feel like run blocking has been better. They still have guys in the backfield on just about every run play. -

I think you start Sims for the 1st half of the next game. If he doesn't completely ball out against what most would view as an inferior opponent you give HH the second half and see what he can do with extended time.

***The Nebraska Defense - Blackshirts 2023***
MyBloodIsRed16 replied to suh_fan93's topic in Husker Football
Nebraska is tied for first with Tennessee with 11 sacks. They are number 8 in rush defense. Unfortunately the are ranked mid 70's for total defense. I also noticed the 3rd down percentage is also in the 70's. Defense needs to get off the field on 3rd down. Seems like MN and CO moved the ball down field until they reached the redzone and then the defense (for the most part) bucked up. Shorter field and all that I get but they can't let every team extend drives. Too many mistakes will happen. Also if nobody noticed Gbayor had himself a pretty good game.
