This is a great point when it comes to that last possession, and that stat where we have something like one win in 20 attempts. If your QB is a run first QB, it makes sense that you have little hope to drive 80 yards in 2 minutes to win because you have to be able to pass to do that. We are doing this to ourselves with the type of QB we have been recruiting for 15 years. Put in that light, the stat becomes less of an outlier and is really more expected. The triple option crowd would be wise to realize this. +1

IMO, there is a 0.1% chance Satterfield, or any staffer, is fired after year 1. Only if someone takes another job do we see any changes. Tony White is going to be a hot commodity, so my bet is we get a new DC and that's it.

5 wins is honestly more than I expected, but expectations change through the year. Getting to 5-3 showed signs of good things, but losing 4 straight when this program badly needed a bowl is very disappointing. Momentum is all lost heading into the offseason, which is very typical of our last 8+ years and is unfortunate. The 5-3 record had more to do with the competition, worst division I can recall, and gave fans false hope. This is still a very bad football team.
