  1. I went to the OSU game last year and was really disappointed with the horseshoe. The field turf was destroyed, the red on retired numbers was faded and they only had speakers in the opposite endzone from us making all videos delayed sounding. The stats boards were tiny and didn't contain much information. The fans weren't into it and the atmosphere was lackluster even during their comeback 4th quarter. I don't think I'd go back.
  2. Arky picks are from last year, and from Arky pickers. The Mizzou one is a bit more interesting, from an OU guy.
  3. It's very common. Nebraska typically gives out more than most though due to geographical difficulties. https://m.herosports.com/college-football/2019-scholarship-offers-stanford-southern-miss-ahah The SEC, ACC, and B1G all had about the same acceptance to offer ratio. You cast a wide net to start, then narrow it down based on mutual interest. If you're lucky you can be picky by the end of it all. https://m.herosports.com/recruiting/sec-college-football-offers-2019-ahah
  4. Points taken. There are some it worked out for, others for whom it did not.
  5. He knew Fromm was there from the onset. He still went there and then he quit. All those guys went to Oklahoma who still has a top 5 coach. OSU just lost their top 5 coach, so I don't think you can call that apples to apples either using your own logic.
  6. I'm using two people as an example but the sentiment stands for anyone who quits after things don't immediately go their way. If you go to a school with talent you should expect to have to earn a job. That involves work.
  7. He obviously made the decision to go there knowing talent was in front of him, didn't win immediately, then quit. That speaks directly to mental fortitude and decision making. If playing right away was the goal, he should have gone somewhere else day 1. Good points, but both to the same school which is the best offensive system in the country. It'll be interesting to see Fields and Johnson this year in the Big Ten.
  8. Lawrence won the job and then played great. Fields did not win the job, then quit and transferred. To me that speaks to the mental fortitude of each individual. That, combined with the shaky spring game, leads me to wonder how Fields will hold up with live rounds. Being #2 in a recruiting class doesn't guarantee success, especially when he is already on school #2. How many transfer qbs, besides grad transfers, have become All Conference type players or more?
  9. I think you can continue to try and temper your own expectations with stuff like this, or you can relax and allow yourself to drink the kool aid. No they aren't going 12-0, but the days of crushing disappointment are ending. Have some fun!
  10. Rankings are a lot about measurables and camp visits. Some guys just make good football players and that might show on video tape but not with a measuring tape. Hard to measure work ethic and coachability. Where you get really special players however is when the kid with the measurables is hungry to learn and work. 2/3* can turn in to All Americans still sure, but it's not nearly as easy without superb physical gifts.
  11. Tannor, and hopefully Graham. Those two are built for it. As much as I like Jojo and Tyrin, the physical tools just aren't the same.
  12. This is fun off season fodder. QB: 2019 RB: 1982 WR/TE: 2014 OL: 1995 DL: 1988 LB: 1992 DB: 1999 ST: 1972 Changing my mind on ST back before I existed thanks to @Guy Chamberlin
  13. I don't think there is help for you two if you don't think the comment was sarcasm.
  14. Of course I don't think that. Did he need to carry things with him? Couldn't he smoke at home for a few years until he isn't playing football anymore? You aren't seeing the forest for the trees. He is under investigation and he chose to continue behaviors that could make the situation worse. That shows a me first attitude and goes against the team culture being created. He didn't learn anything. If Frost wants culture change and to create accountability, here's an opportunity to drive it home.
  15. He should go. No, one paraphernalia ticket isn't worthy of being booted, but this shows a pattern of behavior and a disregard for his teammates in doing this while under investigation already.
  16. Normally I'd suggest waiting until closer to gametime but I get the feeling these tickets will remain high with Husker fan demand.
  17. Which has been Nebraska's M.O. for a good 17 years now. That appeared to change in the second half last year. I hope to see the Huskers playing smart and making opponents pay for their own mistakes finally.
  18. Gotta hope being 1st counts for something. OU and Riley can definitely say they have the same offensive chops as Frost.
  19. I didn't realize Joe Biden went to Ohio State.
  20. The fact that things like buying concert tickets or donating to a random school's mascot fund are being discussed just to have the opportunity to buy pre sale tickets proves the dedication of Nebraska fans. How many other schools have fans considering these things? Craziness. GBR
  21. And the reward for winning the B1G tourney is to face the top overall seed? Fun.
