  1. I just seen on a Nebraska Cornhusker's facebook post that Bubba said he'll be here for summer conditioning. Did anyone else see this? Also, itsn't it a coincedence with the MLB draft being in a week or two
  2. Could these guys get a student loan to help defray living expenses? I am not against giving them some sort of living stipend, but I think it should be the same for all sports athletes. Only the academically talented and the sports men and women shouldn't have to carry some sort of student loan post college.
  3. and it's unblocked at my work. Weird, because for the past three years it's been blocked and now the last month it's unblocked. I think it's a test so I just go via Droid
  4. Eddie didn't make the HOF last year as a first year nominee. Guessing Frazier will make it next year as a 2nd year nominee, much like George did this year. Its not like Frazier has never been snubbed before. I guess I don't really think Frazier was snubbed. In the HOL or for the Heisman..
  5. Shouldn't winning the Heisman be an automatic for being voted in at the five year mark? I find it odd that Eddie George was just brought in this year.
  6. I am not scared of death, just the method that gets me there.
  7. Something that sounds fun and rewarding would be to volunteer in the Katrina aftermath or even the tornado damage in Al..If you can afford it.. I am think about doing flood clean up in a town that I love that is about sweept away to sea- Morgan City, Louisiana. I am not sure where to start, maybe I'll call the red cross.
  8. and bottom of the night to ya Husker Fans! I'm a winner in the morning, I'm a winner in the evening
  9. top of the morning to all you Husker fans!
  10. I watched the original Arthur after reading the reviews on the newly released remade Arthur. What a classic and I highly recommend!

  11. 2-3 million will get a bachelors degree at most all schools. If he breaks his leg in baseball then we can bring his money and get a college degree.
  12. yes, this is what he should do. Makes no sense to put more than 250k into a CD since FDIC will only insure that amount in case of bank failure, and the bank will not pay you jack sh#t for interest in the interim. CD's make no sense to invest in because they will pay you much less than stated inflation, and next to nothing compared to actual inflation when you take into account the Fed's money printing operation. Well I would not be to worried about the FDIC, I don't think the bank will get robbed and if it goes under there are bigger issues! ha ha But yeah the CD might be a bad idea but I really don't know much about investments so I was just giving an example. I figured a short term CD could get about 3%??? try 1 1/2%.....there are much better places to put that kind of money to work, which are unavailable to the average petty investor. the moral was to take the money now because there is not guarentee later. I don't care if he buries it in his back yard.
  13. Well 30 is a nice number

  14. keep it going. I'm ejoying the updates of the baseball game and of your slide into drunkeness.
  15. Fellow Dodger fan(NuPolo) Eithier=30!!!!! One away from franchise record and a mention on Wikipedia!

Broxton's going to an inpatient fat camp and may be the next Jenny Craig spokesman.

Hopefully wherever he's sent his teste reattachment surgery goes well.

  16. Roxy you and your family are in my prayers. This situation would be hard enough if he were present in the states, but how painfully hard with him gone. Just another example of the awesome sacrifice our military personnel and spouses endure to fight for our freedom.
  17. I would say B.D. because he started the ball rolling and established the fanbase. T.O was and is a powerful force, but he didn't start it. Also, no coach is successfull longterm without faithful fans.
  18. Ethier=29. One a way from a permenant mention in the record books

  19. no, actually hadn't. Maybe a good backup plan if my condition get cuts next year. Home depot is pretty good idea too.
  20. What's going on? Talk to us. Going on? Well, not much right now. No more spring ball. The Blackhawks are done for the year. We got this NFL strike thing going. OTOH, I've been real busy at work, at home I'm remodelling a downstairs rec room, and building a fence around my back yard. Plus my baby boy just learned how to walk, and can throw a ball! I just think about how much time I waste watching TV. I could be doing more productive things. Like goofing around in the internets. /jk exactly-you're too busy and are suffering from mature adulthood anxiety; self treating youuself by tuning out the world with t.v. There's is busy and then there is kid busy. It's the kind of busy that only people with kids can only understand. But t.v.,websurfing or gaming can electronically overstimulate your brain. Instead of quiting cold turkey, maybe you can do it maybe your setting yourself up for failure by choosing an unrealestic goal, maybe try turning the t.v. off for an hour at dinner and one hour before bedtime. Where should I send the bill? Lol. I am a longtime sufferer of insomnia
