  1. maybe, just maybe a receiver or 2 who are taller than 6' comes to mind right away.
  2. I follow volleyball more so than any other Husker sport. Capri was explosive, but I don't think she was up to the demanding coaching which John Cook introduces. You have to be a very tough woman to not break under the pressure that is not only put on by the coach but by the other players who would gladly take your spot if given the chance. They are an elite program and even some of the best are not cut out for what goes into being elite. I wish her luck. I wish her a full recovery from what ever it is that has ailed her. I hope we get to play TexASS and win ! 2020 Husker Volleyball could be very very special as we have all the pieces in place already, just getting better between now and then is key.
  3. I know, I know, facts are hard to accept when you don’t want to believe it.
  4. A winner? As a head coach, he has 3 losing seasons out of 4. I’ll buy the next pitcher of Kool Aid
  5. I can say, without a doubt, we were not a better team at the back half of the season. I can comfortably say this is true about the front half, and middle too. Winning 1 of our last 6 is not improving or are you from the participation trophy era?
  6. Or, vice versa....putting a guy up on a pedestal and talking like he is the next Joe Burrow is completely premature, but do as you wish.
  7. Great talent and recruiting are big, no denying that or arguing it. You put better players on a roster and you SHOULD have better things happen. But......look at how bad Texas has been with the talent they get every year. It is just hard to stomach that we have such a green staff, from the head coach on down. I guess our multi-decade dumpster fire has allowed for us to be a program to learn at and then move along instead of being the program where we pick up the best. There may be some guys on staff who will turn out to be pretty good, but Im not sold on that yet and I am going to reserve those thoughts for when we actually put a winning season together (whenever that may be). Some may find it hard to admit, but coaching probably was directly responsible for 2-3 losses this year. That means that our coaching has to improve, even if we get better talent.
  8. TM or AM......both deer in the headlights guys who can be magic, but more often than not.....tragic. Not acknowledging that is just pure and simple Kool Aid denial.
  9. I wish I had the crystal ball as I’d be curious to know how post game pressers will go when all “ His guys” are in place and he still bumbles away the game? You know what the say about excuses and everyone has one
  10. I think he has a point. Everything we are looking at is speculation that it is progression. We really have not done anything different than under Riley, have we? Back to back crappy seasons that seemed about as dysfunctional as it can be is really the continuation of the Riley era but with a new guy driving the train with a fatter paycheck. Outside of speculating on what Scott is doing, has done, and wants to do and telling ourselves that is going to mean more W's, well it is just that speculation. To the naked eye, we all want things to appear better and want them to be better, but are they really? Seeing the great attention the program is currently getting, keep hoping.
  11. No, not a single comparison. Just lumping all the criminals together, regardless of severity
  12. Fixing it or adding to it? Before we dump the praise on him for what he has fixed, let’s see it happen or he is just another name on your list. Jury is still out IMO
  13. I’m glad our coach loudly spoke out as a new hire that he was only going to bring in standout guys.......preferred walk-on who beat up a cop as a juvie and put him into the hospital, pot heads, Mo, now these characters. Makes me very afraid to send my daughter to college.......stand up guys, right Scotty?
  14. Yeah, only voices to consider in here are the ones who post constantly......right? Anyone thinking aloud.....lock it up. SMDH
  15. The last 20+ years has transformed the fans. I used to live and breath Husker football, life revolved around it. There were years where my wife and I would only miss 3-4 games total, including away games. Right now, I can do a lot more with my Saturday afternoon. Lack of winning has directly related to my lack of caring.
  16. I’m afraid that ego plays into it. I mean, how could Scotty Frosty be wrong and who are the fans to question him? There lies the issue
  17. This.. the lack of fire and leadership by AM is also completely obvious. Go with who is a leader and tha was not AM.
  18. Yes, mr deer in the headlights ran out of bounds on 2nd down, saving IA a timeout when they had 1 left. Overtime taken away on that very play. A Mart is not a leader, played lost again.
  19. He has not learned to coach in the Power 5, that much is obvious. His play calling is horrid at best.
  20. After Luke led us to a TD, anyone with a brain figures he comes back in a rides the momentum. Nope, Mr. Ego Scotty Frosty, could never be wrong so deer in the headlights Martinez comes back in to again lead us to defeat. The very audible collective groan of the stadium when #2 came back in said it all.
  21. Time, time, time....we are so far past the point of waiting, we just go further into the abyss of mediocrity, right Steve Peterson? If you get sucked too far into the black hole, you may never come out and we are on that brink, IMO.
  22. Completely checked out, Husker Volleyball from here on out. I sold my tix to both IA and WI back in September when the Kool Aid drunk was running wild knowing all well I'd be deer hunting for the WI game and with family for the IA game. Until the hype build up before the spring game.....c ya
  23. Yeah, we do that in 2020, you can sit with me at a game in 2021 (my choice). We can talk about which December bowl game we will play in.
