  1. Kinda humored by all the "wind" comments in threads. This is the same Husker team we've had all year. Wind has nothing to do with holding on to the ball and playing hard and smart.

Yep. It's dumb. So who ya going for next week?

Ron Brown said the wind was affecting toss plays. Was probably more windy than usual. Ruf ruf.

  2. Have 'em just where we want them ...

Not yet. Gotta be down by 10 first. Iowa knows this. It's why they've refused to extend their lead. At 7-3, we're screwed.

      This is f'ing ridiculous

  3. Niles Paul caught a pass. Oh my ... congrats!

  4. Running my first marathon today. At around 8 am you will see a live link on this page and my FB page. Click on the live link to watch my race if you like. If you want to text me during the race check out the comment section for my phone number. http://www.runkeeper.com/user/sheepdogmark

Last week someone replied to one of his status updates -- "I like turtles.", so I replied to that "I love turtles." And "Sheepdawg" deleted it, so I reposted it again, and he deleted, and we did this about 5 times.

  7. Taylor is puzzling to me ... I can't gloat over him or the "new record". Wish I could ... guess in the end a "win isn't a win" for me. I just don't see how the order is restored when we keep consistently doing the same crap every week ... and we sweep the crap under the rug because of another "W". One side calls for Bo's head ... the other is "elated" over an "amazing" comeback. In the end ... I'm more "bewildered" thinki...

Alot of work? Same problem for 5 years now. Never changes. Admire? You put yourself in the crap hole. I would admire one who learns and doesn't get themselves back into the crap hole. Enjoy the win? Sure, it is a win. Finally, thid was not a tough win or opponet. Weakest conference in the country against a team that finds ways to lose. To me, this team is emboldened to keep doing the stupid stuff believing they will find a way to win. Just isn't the direction I want the program to go.

Yeah, winning games and coming back to win sucks.

Ya, you obviously know my 7 years on this board and caught my point.

  8. The same Husker team showed up today ... with all the same mistakes. Guess this is the new brand of Husker football.

  9. Ok, so this team is gonna go undefeated the rest of the season ... alll goals are in front of them. Ya ... right.

I've flipped. I thought it was possible. After that half, NOPE, NOT POSSIBLE. Right now in my eyes, a bowl game is iffy. This is a crock of sh#t. Offense and special teams wasted the best defensive effort we have seen or will see all year. That aint happening again in the second half. This is another meltdown coming.

It really doesn't matter if we win this game ... it's the same pile of crap that we are told will be fixed but never is.

Husker_x, Pelini and the players both said this prior to the game this week.

      NoLongerN

Training fo a marathon. Have an 18 miles and then a 20 and 22. All part of the process to make it.

  11. Signed up for the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa. My first marathon is in 39 days. Excited!

Good luck. I've been giving some consideration to trying the half-marathon during the OKC Memorial Marathon in April. I guess you can say so I can mark it off my bucket list.

  12. Reading Huskerboard this morning ... think I'll not respond at all.

  13. This Penn St/Northwestern game has been a real treat!

YES. So weird to be rooting for PSU, but we need NW to get saddled with a loss. Big TD right there...

Both of these games will be tough wins for us. For as bad as B1G football has been this year. These two teams made me proud today to be in this conference.

  14. Cant wait to see how this lie detector thing works for the debate ... http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/03/obama-and-romney-to-face-real-lie-detector-test-during-debate/

      NoLongerN

Can't wait to see what this lie detector tells us. I think Romney has a moral and ethical core to his life ... he may not have all the answers ... but maybe he will be truthful and restore some respect to the office ... that is ... if the 47% freebie crowd doesn't get Obama re-elected.

  15. Hey, we played a good half of football and won. I'll take it. No running for me tomorrow. :-)

      macroboy

congrats. I was worried about you for a while there.

  16. Huskers lose tonight ... I'm running a mile for every point we lose by tomorrow on my day off from running.

A marathon would involve an extremely low scoring football game. Like 14-13, haha. If it's another UCLA, or a Baylor/WVU, you could be in some troubs :P

OHHHH, well, in that case, how would you handle a Husker win? I vote some extra-fattening twinkies. As anti-run as you get.

  20. Sexy Rexy ... can't believe it's your Senior year. My favorite recruit in your class ... you have wore the N well. Thank you!

  21. Ravens/Patriots ... what a great game!

Even though it ended badly for me, that was incredibly entertaining. Good football.

  22. Love K-State, they have recruited 3-4 four star athletes since 2009 all the rest are 2 and 3 stars ... and they put a great product on the field. I admire that.

12, maybe 13 NU games a year. I don't miss any of them no matter how lop-sided...or horrific...they are.
