  1. I was impressed. Of course. I was predicting a 3-TD loss and not competitive. Actually, I thought it would be a blowout with us making lots of mistakes. Thus, I learned Scott has some good football players who won't quit despite enough mistakes and this week poor tackling. I enjoyed this game as I assumed a pain-filled loss/outcome. I'll do the same thing on Friday and get a good game feel I'm sure.
  2. Hadn't seen a thread for this ... let it begin. Congrats to the victors. It's only temporary ... but it could become more I suppose. Ha ha.
  3. That's a good point. My guess is that he has a bigger fish. The question is if he catches it.
  4. This is how I see it as well [holding nose]. Scott believes he still 1-2 players away ... as do those who are glad we stayed the course [as I see it].
  5. Huskers 15 [3 field goals, a TD with no extra point] Badgers 38 Rush- 116 Pass- 249
  6. But wait, but wait ... I thought it was all just a "cost of doing business"? Ha ha.
  7. This makes perfect sense from the way that Frost and AM need to look at it. These guys are married at the hip and are ONE. If the problem has been "better coaches/talent/OL" for Frost/AM, that would be just fascinating on Frost's end since he was the one who compiled all of it [including AM]. In any event, I could "imagine" a really successful 2022 for Frost/AM with the schedule and a few tweaks along with AM just getting back to his strengths with minimal mistakes and improvement elsewhere and an easy schedule. I'm all for it. I don't believe it or receive it but I would take that as an outcome. I don't see any QB on the roster or in the country that will come in and outperform what AM could/would/should probably do. If the right piece come to the OL to move Corcoran to Guard and the RB spot can produce a Breece Hall type runner next year ... sure. But again, that is all a pipedream from my eyeball. To me, it's like Andy Dupresne talking about "hope" in Shawshank Redemption ... "it's just a BS word"! Ha ha. In any event, if that is what these two are conspiring/believing that my belief is that the Frost Effect will produce AM as his OC in 2023. That would make perfect sense! Ha ha.
  8. That would be a hoot! On the flip side, I'm sure Texas fans would be saying, "wouldn't it be ironic if Nebraska hires our former HC, Herman, as their OC and he flames them downward deeper into the crapper." Ha ha.
  9. Huskerboard just notified me that I'm now a "Starter".  Hmmm, that only took 20 years.  Ha ha.

@teachercd, ha ha.  You got me to LOL on that.

  10. That's how I've been seeing it as well. It feels like the perfect storm ... you got a father and son who have a high view of themselves and have some entitlement ... and then you have seen ineptitude from your OL coaching staff. It would be nice if we could keep him for the next year and see if the new OL coach has create some quick impact ... but I'll be surprised if I don't see his name in the portal soon. This is all just a gut feeling and sense.
  11. * I see now your detail for Payne. Got it! Thanks. @Decked It was a year ago and Wandale wasn't that good. I don't know ... maybe that was true. Maybe the truth for Sev will be found out after he finds his new school.
  12. You need not be butthurt at all bro. You got your man. Enjoy him.
  13. That was awesome!! He will be fun to watch for those Tigers.
  14. We had Minni at home and it was all before us. It was just there ... like an easy fast ball set up to hit out of the park. We just weren't good enough with enough want to get it done. If we won that game it feels like we could have run the table. Could be wrong ... but that is my sense.
  15. Me too. I don't think either of those are true. I just think that the way this game comes and the momentum of the two teams are going opposite directions. It's a road game and Camp Randall is not a kind place for mistakes. I think with all the changes we come out slow and prone to mistakes. Since it's a forum full of opinions and this was a pull asking for my vote and opinion ... I stated it. If you are tired of hearing that then bypass the poll and this thread as it was requesting others to state their view. The stats on the poll state that over half of the voters believe we loose by at least 8-14 points. That is twice the amount of points we lose games by. I don't think folks are saying we are "horrible" by that ... it's just a "sense" amidst all the distraction and changes upon the kids.
  16. I see us getting rolled by more than 14 ... and our first blowout loss. I think we come out flat and play mistake-filled football. We will spot them 14 and lose by 20-28 points leading to more naysayers while the faithful keep drinkin' that kool-aid.
  17. I'll vote for you or anyone that change the settings so a new member can't post until a certain amount of days after joining. That would stop a majority of the problem and various "troll's" after a loss. It never seems to be changed. It's kinda like Nebraska football ... the problem and solution seem obvious [but nothing ever really changes]. Ha ha.
  18. I did ... do you have to keep harpin' on that. Ha ha.
  19. Ya, I get it. Yawn for me as well. Trev choose to keep Frost. So, that means as a board that we too begin to restate and rehash the problem. I'd rather start talking about more "flash and dash" stuff. Instead, we still have difficulty blocking and protecting.
  20. Exactly .... which then takes us to the silly excuse that we are only 1-2 players away. We are not. That may be true on the OL ... but not for the team. There is still much work to be done in this rebuild. I'll point to the record and firing most of the OL. What was promised and expected has not occurred. Thus, we are four years in and don't have a starting OT for that spot [and that's the point]. Personally, I don't get how folks conclude this as "bashing". It's just a statement of fact and failure.
  21. I'm not saying anything against his collection of OL talent. I'm simply pointing out that Corcoran has been subpar at best ... and for whatever reason, Corcoran continues to get beat and remains impotent. Yet, we are only 1-2 players away. Again, we are a good 4-5 OL away in both the starters and backups ... and that's only one position. For me, Corcoran doesn't need to get older. Ya, he was graded a 4-5* ... but if he was ... he isn't now. Scott is still trying to figure out I guess where he should be played. I've posted about this a lot this year. The OL is much further behind in it's rebuild, mostly through development, secondly in missing out on recruiting. As stated, we need another two studs in the OL again this year. I don't see anyone of a starting caliber that will replace or fill in this deficiency. As you stated, "Frost doesn't really believe two 5* players would be enough", yet, he hasn't attracted anything else nor developed really what he has. Is that a "bash" ... sure ... but I'm not getting paid millions of dollars and I'm not the golden child getting a pass. His "pass" has now been addressed ... but it sure would be nice getting the way he does under his performance. It's different for me. He's very fortunate.
  22. Same here ... but that is the problem ... you and I with the "unprofessional eye" can see that while coaches who do this for a living can't figure that out! :-)
