  1. Very surprised to see the "fans" that would do this.
  2. I will always remember Niles as a very good blocker.
  3. Read the entire thread. I'm using cable and if I end up getting a 60" TV, I'll be doing an upgrade to one of these. Unfortunately, I think we are in for a double dip recession so we are cutting back on any "perks" and living to just survive.
  4. Doesn't matter to me if it was a "slam" or "humor" ... it just struck me. Actually, for me, the time frame was just three hours into my day, it starts at 12:40 AM with a work start time of 2 AM. I have no issue with that Tiger fan at all ... I'm a Missouri boy myself and follow their recruiting. Maybe you "read" into my post a bit myself. :-) No worries here.
  5. Always smile when a Tiger fan gets a player from their state and then slams us for being fifth on the list after they get him and say, "you came close". We have taken more then our fair share of players right out of Columbia (forget the who state). Fact is ... It's a nice get for Mizzou. Congrats! Hope you get more good players to go with this one. Still hopeful we can land a few kids that want to be a part of Husker tradition.
  6. Enjoyed it, thanks for the post. Urban's comments on Bo were rather interesting.
  7. Watched "Once Brothers" yesterday. Very moving story. You can watch it in a 6 part series on youtube. ESPN 30 for 30 - Once Brothers (1/6)

What is this about? ESPN sucks but I do always look forward to the 30/30's. Can't wait to see this one.

  8. Love me some Frosty ... throw in some Turner ... try to keep Carl.
  9. Any update/info on the Mizzou visit?
  10. (voice of Darth Vadar) impressive ... most impressive. Could see him at DE with his burst as well.
  11. I'm curious what OSU fans will do as the "scandal unfolds. A friend of mine who follows Oklahoma football said this on his FB page and posted this pic: "WOW, Ohio State had a team meeting tonight over the new Sports Illustrated allegations. One of the allegations was that Pryor was getting new cars. Guess what he showed up to the meeting in.....yet another new car." LInk to Picture of Pryor's new car This might just get very interesting. Sounding more like Tressel is certainly a great person ... a man of extreme faith, very caring ... but has that also made him turn his eye to the rules laid out? I'd much rather see the axe fall on a program like USC ... but it's looking more like "stinky trash" all the more. SheepdogMark
  12. Who OSU is able to secure as the next head coach answers that question big time in my eyes. If someone like Urban Meyer steps in ... well, it just might take a dramatic uptick as well. I can see a few of the more "shady" programs twisting the current situation into something to their advantage on the recruiting trail. Thankfully, we won't see our Huskers and Bo using that as an advantage. I'm with others, I believe McMullen now took a bump upwards 5-10% towards our direction. SheepdogMark
  13. Which is more disturbing ... Cody Green leaving the program for his reasons and every fans limited, biased per perspective ... or both what fans say and how they say it on this board ... all the while knowing that tomorrow is a new day and we will have to interact again on a topic that we have so little insight into? People think they such "ownership" over an issue and such great "insight" and they are such the "great fan" that they can spout off their view like it is "fan-almighty". It reminds me of the church and how the "immature" think they have such a grasp on an "issue" ... all the while hurting and destroying any opportunity for others to come to a conclusion or a revelation that God wants them to get in His timing ... not mans. Nuff said ... rant over. This is a thread that hasn't been a joy to read. SheepdogMark
  14. I would think/hope that this means that OSU forfeits the bowl game last season? Thoughts? I'm intrigued to see how this plays out with Urban Meyer for sure. SheepdogMark
  15. This means that it's a sweepstakes race ... and we lose. Being a Missouri boy for many years, surprised that Mizzou never gets a mention for this kid with the past few years with above average QB's and one good WR. SheepdogMark
  16. Finally a video well done where I can get to know a kid, I can tell which person he is and I don't have some awful rap music rippin' my ear off while I try to enjoy the highlights. Would imagine this kid doesn't have the explosion to get one of our few spots. SheepdogMark
  17. Didn't read the initial post. This guy needs to join twitter to limit his posting length. :-) SheepdogMark
  18. I would/should/could say the exact same thing if I was in Tom's shoes. If, however, it is found out that what Tressel did was not "honorable", then his "character" is in question and the penalty and cost associated with that result. In the end, Tom admits he doesn't know much about the situation ... he just knows the person. I understand his point and admire him willing to put his relationship with Tressel over what others (us Husker fans included) think. SheepdogMark
  19. http://www.wftv.com/news/9275560/detail.html Very friendly indeed... Hey, I read that article. What a hoot ... bunch of retirees getting herpes for "loose living" ... ya, added a new meaning to "friendly" for sure. SheepdogMark
  20. He's from The Villages ... America's friendliest hometown. :-) SheepdogMark
  21. 179 posts ... 4 pages worth ... I guess I must really be missing something on this guy. SheepdogMark
  22. Wow, TCU has 4-5 four star athletes all ready in the top 250. You use to never see that a few years back. SheepdogMark
  23. In this article someone implies that "Nebraska could be an option" now for Tyler. Ya right ... smokin' some good weed there! Hell shall freeze over before that happens. He sure did leave Mizzou with a problem at backup QB. Gabbert's are the kind of folks I like to stay away from throughout this life and the next. SheepdogMark
  24. I realize that a few posts back the desire was to let this thread die. Humbly submitted, the decommittment of Tyler from Mizzou brings up the thought of what QB recruits we would have missed out on had Tyler hung around longer as a commit to the Huskers. Wouldn't we have missed out on Carnes? Just trying to recall. If so ... man oh man, I'm so glad we got Carnes. SheepdogMark
