  1. 4 turnovers, 100 yards in penalties, last second loss by one score. The Scott Frost Era continues.
  2. Is this some sort of a surprise? We've seen for 3 years that HCSF is going through on-the-job training and to think it was going to be anything but that, is simply not being realistic. We are getting better (slowly) and HCSF is improving as well (slowly). Will he ever get to the point where he is a good head coach? Remains to be seen. Same with the staff.
  3. This is a great idea. A couple of the big SEC schools won't need to schedule a cream puff November game out of conference. They can just schedule NU. Moving to the SEC won't help anything other than ensure 4 win seasons for a few more years. When we start to win consistently, we can start to dictate terms to the other teams. Until then, not so much, at least on football matters.
  4. There are times where our football IQ is too low to be successful. Case in point. 2nd & 20, 45 seconds left and Adrian runs out of bounds to stop the clock. I'm ok with avoiding the unneeded hits on Adrian but that allowed Iowa to save a timeout. Next play, run the ball into the line and Iowa calls timeout. That enables Iowa to keep enough time on the clock to come back. Darnit, AM has to know the situation.
  5. Could someone on the Nebraska sideline please remove the screen pass from Frost's play card? Don't know what play he thinks they are setting up but it isn't working.
  6. Thurston - I thought since the whole exorcism is probably against NCAA rules, we might as well go all the way and wear half-shirts. Several posters are suggesting we kidnap Ralphie and Bevo and turn them into burgers. I mean with everything else, do you really think the NCAA will notice the half-shirts? Note to self - if Ralphie and Bevo are "invited" bring extra BBQ sauce and napkins and dis-invite any vegans!
  7. And everyone participating should wear half-shirt jerseys, right Thurston?
  8. 1. We don't run much at all in the 2nd half and then give it a try in OT - WTF? 2. Way to many missed tackles in the 2nd half. 3. CU certainly looked better coming out of halftime and kept that advantage throughout the end of the game. 4. AMart's Heisman candidacy was very short. Try again next year. 5. Thought we would lose a few we should win and that we would win a few that we probably should have lost. Here's one of the former, hoping OSU can be the latter! 6. Still think we can get 6 wins, but the margin is getting tighter.
  9. And having an off-season of hearing all the right things and seeing some improvements in S&C, it was real easy to think that those bad habits were a thing of the past and the glory days were here again. Big reminder that what has been sliding for 3, 5 or 10 years doesn't get fixed in one off-season. GBR!
  10. As long as the annulment comes from the side you like, all is well. If not, you might have a different response.
  11. Two questions. 1) How does the method of calculation of deaths in PR compare to the method used in other disasters? Why in the heck did it take so long to change the figures? 2) How about getting rid of the Gov of PR, the Mayor of San Juan, etc. as they apparently didn't do much before or after the disaster? Maybe it is time to move disaster response out of the government as an effective response hasn't been seen from the .gov in more than a few administrations. (TX, New Orleans, etc.)
  12. Trump was definitely the least of the evils to vote for. If Christians are making the decision to vote on morality, how is the Democrat party more moral than Trump?
  13. Ric Flair - nice one, you beat me to it!
  14. Based on some of the responses to the situation, I think some people on this board are going to have to toughen up. It isn't surprising, however, owing to the amount of whining that gets posted to this board. Any indication that this was ignored/covered up or not disclosed? NO Any indication that the players' condition was ignored or discounted? NO Any indication from past history that this staff treats players poorly? NO Any indication from other teams coached by this staff that they don't trust the staff or believe in their methods? NO Sh** happens sometimes even under the best conditions. The staff recognized it, got the appropriate medical attention and thankfully the players will be just fine. Coach Frost was direct in his press release, even calling several media outlets to discuss the issue BEFORE it was widely know. I kind of like this guy.....!
